Why stay here ...

Surrounded by arable farmland and commercial orchards in the charming Weald of Kent, Tanner Farm Touring Caravan and Camping Park is a delightful place for a peaceful get-away-from-it-all break for the family, whatever the season.

The Kent caravan, touring and camping park has an open yet secluded feel with very high standards of facilities. Visitors can wander across the fields up to the Bluebell Wood, which is absolutely magical in the spring. In fact the site gives you easy access to a variety of walks throughout this beautiful part of Kent, the Garden of England.

The Park is ideally situated for the many attractions in this area, with easy access to both Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone via a bus stop located directly outside the Caravan Park. With something to suit everyone, you won’t run out of things to do and see, from a high concentration of National Trust venues, glorious countryside and safe beaches. Nice, but….

Tanner Farm Touring Caravan and Camping Park
This is a really nice site, well placed for Sissinghurst Gardens (gem) and striking distance of Rye ( magical). The receptionist and the maintenance guy were really great but … We were informed in advance of our plot which turned out to be right behind the shop/reception with a view of its black building and a broken washing line and rubbish in its ‘garden’. There were other lovely pitches available so it seemed odd but I (incorrectly) assumed that certain pitches were reserved for Club members. First night fine, second night the residents of the accommodation attached to the shop/reception had a karaoke party - five metres from us. At 10.30pm I went to ask when the party was likely to finish - I assumed it was something management must have known about which made our pitch still more illogical. I was subjected to a tirade of foul language. Not happy. The party stopped at about 11pm and I have to report that I got an apology from both the receptionist (who said she knew nothing about the party and explained that I could have asked for a pitch elsewhere) AND an apology from the person who had been abusive. I accepted both apparently genuine apologies but it raises questions about the set up. Only one facilities block was open and that was closed for cleaning from 9.30 to 11 which seems early for a holiday place and left tent campers devoid of toilets for an hour and half at the start of the day. It’s a really lovely site but I wouldn’t visit again until issues are sorted and I think the Club should have discussions with the management there about its status as an affiliated site.

One night stay

Tanner Farm Touring Caravan and Camping Park
Just a one night at this site en-route to the South Coast, we found the narrow roads leading to the site very poorly maintained (not on site) and were rough to tow the caravan over. The site itself was a pleasure and very well laid out. Great for families with a very welcoming atmosphere.

A useful site for visiting many places.

Tanner Farm Touring Caravan and Camping Park
We visited the site 16th to 20th August 2021 A useful site for visiting many places, pleasant enough but there are some points that need addressing:- On the access track there are at least two pot holes, although given the depth bomb craters might be a more accurate description. The pity is these could so easily be filled and the problem sorted by using some crushed stone topped with binding material. Lack of signal/wifi - a bit annoying when trying to find details, times etc. of nearby places of interest. Showers - when improvements are made the shower area should be lowered so that the dry area in the cubicle remains dry. At present, with an all flat area, turning on the shower even with the curtain in place results in water flooding the floor of the dry area. In conclusion a good basic site but would be vastly improved by attention to the points listed above.

Good time had

Tanner Farm Touring Caravan and Camping Park
Very pleasant and friendly staff. The toilet/shower facilities were clean/tidy and spacious, with plenty hot water and soap dispensers. Alcohol gel located at toilet/shower blocks with restricted access of two persons. Alcohol gel also located at water and waste areas. Good site for families and dog owners. There is one improvement for me in the WiFi reception was almost non existent. If this could be improved i would have rated overall five stars. Will return again.

Spacious site. Large green areas

Tanner Farm Touring Caravan and Camping Park
Large spacious site set in the beautiful Kent country side with dark skies. It has large spaces between caravans and large green areas in the middle of each section. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shop had a good range of stock. We arrived on a Saturday, to a nearly full park, the weather was and had been very wet the showers/toilets obviously well used.but were clean. (There was a slight fowl smell near the shower block) The site is level and easy to set up. we had poor mobile phone reception, watched tv England match via Satellite. There is a small tv room. Lovely areas for children to play. Took dogs for long walks without go in the car. The site has numerous seasonal pitches with friendly people who told us they have had numerous years enjoying Tanner park Definitely recommend.
