Following the latest announcements, we are pleased to provide an update on Worldwide travel in line with guidance from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), UK Government and destination Governments.

Travel restrictions are now easing significantly across the world with the FCDO no longer advising against travel to most destinations. Our destination countries still have varying levels of restrictions, such as masks, and entry requirements, so please refer to your chosen destination below for the latest guidance.

We are operating our Worldwide holidays as usual and have members overseas currently, but please rest assured that we are continually monitoring the situation and will keep this page updated with the latest information.

Australia

FCDO advice: There is no advice against travel to Australia.
Entry requirements: Entry to Australia is once again open for travel and most restrictions have now been removed as long as you are fully vaccinated and can provide proof of your vaccination via a vaccination certificate. If you are not fully vaccinated then you will need a valid travel exemption to enter Australia. Exemption applications can be submitted online on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website, which also lists the travel exemption categories.
All travellers to Australia arriving by air, regardless of their vaccination status, must also complete a Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD). You can complete your DPD via the iOS app, the Android app, or the online form on the Department of Home Affairs website. You can start your DPD seven days before your flight and submit it within 72 hours prior to your departure for Australia.
You should check if COVID-19 testing requirements are different for any transit countries you will pass through on the way to Australia, or if your airline has additional requirements.
Restrictions in country: Social distancing restrictions and other local measures are still in place across Australia with a number of variations across the different states that could change at short notice. You can monitor the relevant State and Territory websites for the latest information.

Canada

FCDO advice: There is no advice against travel to Canada
Entry requirements:
- Unvaccinated people continue to be barred from entering Canada.
- Vaccinated people are eligible to enter Canada for discretionary (non-essential) reasons, such as tourism; however, these individuals must:
  - be fully vaccinated: a traveller must have received, and show proof of, the full series of a vaccine accepted by the Government of Canada which are currently ones manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD, and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
  - have no Covid-19 symptoms;
  - submit their mandatory information via ArriveCAN (App or website), including proof of vaccination in English or French and a quarantine plan in case it is determined at the border that you do not meet the necessary requirements;
  - be admissible under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and,
  - take a test on arrival, if selected

Restrictions in country: The Canadian authorities recommend the use of non-medical masks/facial coverings when it is not possible to consistently maintain a 2-metre physical distance from others, including on public transportation. Masks are required to be worn on flights.
To help curb the spread of coronavirus, provincial governments have introduced a number of measures. There are some regional variations, but they generally include:
- limit on numbers in bars and restaurants and at large gatherings in affected cities and regions
- mandatory wearing of face masks in indoor public settings

Namibia

FCDO advice: There is no advice against travel to Namibia
Entry requirements:
- Fully vaccinated travellers are no longer required to produce a negative PCR test result on arrival. You must present an authentic valid vaccination card at the point of entry.
- If you’re not fully vaccinated then you must present proof on arrival in Namibia of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the country of departure through a laboratory accredited by the Trusted Travel website. The test result must not be older than 72 hours before the time of entry into Namibia.
Restrictions in country: Most restrictions have been removed. The following are still in place:
- wearing of face masks is encouraged on public transport and indoors
- the number of people permitted at public gatherings is 1000 persons; social distancing must be in place at all public gatherings
- physical distancing of no less than 1 meter must be maintained at all times

New Zealand

FCDO advice: There is no advice against travel to New Zealand.
Entry requirements: If you are not fully vaccinated then you are unlikely to be allowed to enter New Zealand.
- Fully vaccinated arrivals are allowed into the country from 1st May and need to:
  - present proof of your vaccination status on arrival
  - provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 result shortly before your flight from 48 hours prior to departure. Please go to the New Zealand COVID-19 website for types of accepted COVID-19 tests and timeframes before departure.
  - complete the Traveller Declaration and be issued a New Zealand Traveller Pass before travelling to New Zealand. Start your declaration as soon as you can, to ensure you have time to complete it before you travel.
Restrictions in country: Social distancing restrictions and other local measures are still in place across New Zealand with a number of variations across the different regions. These are liable to change at short notice, with restrictions being implemented in specific areas when required.

South Africa

FCDO advice: There is no advice against travel to South Africa.
Entry requirements: If you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to take a coronavirus test to travel to South Africa. You will need to present your vaccination certificate during travel and on arrival. Unvaccinated people must provide a valid certificate of a negative COVID-19 PCR test, which was obtained not more than 72 hours before the date of travel.
Restrictions in country: The South African authorities have published COVID-19 guidelines and advice and have introduced a number of measures to limit the spread of the virus. Failure to comply could result in a fine or arrest.
- You are required to wear a face mask on public transport.
- Upon arrival at your accommodation, you will normally be subject to a temperature test and asked to complete a health questionnaire.

United States of America

FCDO advice: There is no advice against travel to the USA
Entry requirements: Unvaccinated people continue to be barred from entering the USA.
Vaccinated people are eligible to enter and need to:
- Before boarding a flight to the USA, most passengers - regardless of vaccination status - are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel
- Present proof of your vaccination status
- You will need to get an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) visa waiver to enter or transit the USA as a visitor
Restrictions in country: A number of US states no longer mandate the use of masks and face coverings while in public. However these will vary from state to state.

- Further restrictions will vary locally with some states relaxing lockdown procedures while others are pausing or reversing their re-openings
