Broomfield Farm Club Campsite is a gentle, rural location peacefully set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. This East Sussex touring and caravanning park offers the delights of meadows and woodland, the latter resplendent with bluebells in the spring. The charming village of Waldron is within easy reach and well worth the visit if you fancy a spot of shopping as well as to soak up the traditional atmosphere and local history.
A stay at Broomfield Farm Club Campsite would not be complete without a leisurely walk along the scenic South Downs Way situated nearby - the trail splendidly marches westwards from Eastbourne's dramatic Beachy Head and promises unforgettable views. You can reach Eastbourne by bus and the stop is located a short walk away in the local village of East Hoathy. The village also offers a free car park, a small shop and pubs serving food.
Also just a short distance away from the caravan site, you will be enchanted by the world famous landmark called the Long Man of Wilmington on his hillside, which dates back to pagan times. All in all, the area promises a memorable holiday getaway for the whole family.

Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to unsuitable roads for towing. From Uckfield on the A22: at Shaw roundabout (about 0.5 mile past Halland) turn left into road signposted East Hoathly. Within 0.75 mile in East Hoathly village turn left at The King’s Head public house towards Waldron. In 0.25 mile fork right continuing to Waldron. In 90 metres fork left to Waldron. In about 0.5 mile turn right into Holdcroft Lane (signposted Chiddingly); at top of lane turn left into road signposted Chiddingly, Graywood (care required as lane merges from right); in about 0.25m at T-junction turn left into Graywood Lane (signposted Waldron); in 140 metres turn right into Stalkers Lane. Site on right in 0.25 mile (immediately past Broomfield Farm house entrance). When leaving site foll signposts to East Hoathly. From Eastbourne on the A22: turn right at Shaw roundabout, then as above. When leaving site follow signposts to East Hoathly.

Jubilee weekend
Broomfield Farm Club Campsite
We went to Broomfield farm for a couple of nights over the jubilee weekend, and loved how peaceful it was, and how friendly the check in was, a lovely lady booked us in, very friendly, and made to feel relaxed, we had pitch 42, which was huge, cooked pizza in our pizza oven, and just relaxed,
On the sat we went and got involved in the jubilee celebrations, toast to the Queen, raffle, and laughs with strangers, was really good,

Broomfield Farm Club Campsite
Celebrated the weekend jubilee, everyone joined in with the celebrations, a friendly group some were touring and some are seasonals.
Grass mowed and looked very neat and colourful, flowers around the office colourful.
Steve and Kaye were kept busy with arrivals as the site was full.
Most tourers I spoke to said they visit often and it’s easy to see why.
With plenty to see in the area whether you are looking for countryside or visiting the seaside.
Ideal for walking with the South Downs close by.
There is a village shop and 2 public houses both about 2/3 miles away , a pizza van calls in the village .
You need your own facilities on this site as no toilet/shower block .
You get the feeling of space as there is a green area left in the middle of the meadow or a wooded area which has an abundance of wildlife and gives shade .
This site is good value and peaceful even when full.
People new to the site said definitely they will use a lot more and such friendly helpful site managers make for a happy stay.

Peaceful Sussex Retreat
Broomfield Farm Club Campsite
This is a peaceful quiet site in the Sussex countryside with two different area's for touring.The first area is the open pitches are the perimeter,these are grass and hardstandings,the good thing about this the centre area is kept free,so it does give the impression of space.The second area is a lovely wooded glade with pitches set into the woodland.There appear to be seasonal pitches in use.
This is a minimum facility site with no toilet block,this just adds to the peace and quiet of the site.
Now the site approach,I have visited a few years ago and prepared,the actual length of the narrow section is under two miles,and it does narrow to single lane at Holdcroft Lane,the turn here could be easy to miss,and one of these turns which has the triangular grass section,in the middle,so care required here,once through this it does open out more.
Stalkers lane is quite uneven,so you will have to keep your speed down.
But this really is a lovely site,with a couple of country pubs within walking distance,all for £17.00 fixed price,which is cheaper than some CL's..When you look at the value of this site gives it cannot be faulted.
Pity about loose running and noisy dogs.

We stayed a week but as always there were a couple of members who allowed their dogs to bark at 7.00am plus on two occasions they were running free around the campsite. One member had an open fire which of course are not allowed and many of us had to shut our vans due to the smoke, another seasonal member has an awning that is about 16 feet wide which basically stops anyone using the next pitch.
I took photos of the dogs, the fire and the awning and sent them to the site members team.
We have stayed at the site many times over the years but never seen this sort of activity.

Broomfield Farm Club Campsite
We stayed for 3 nights, wished we had booked longer! Large, lovely site, pitch space seemed to be generous which was great. You can choose to stay in the woods (was beautiful in April with the Bluebells) or in more open space. Very peaceful. Lack of facilities didn’t bother us at all as we have good ones onboard. Access road was a bit scary but if you follow the directions given on website as we did will be ok! TV signal was good we didn’t use WiFi.
