Why stay here ...

Elegantly sloping towards open farmland, Bearsted Club Campsite offers the tranquillity of these open fields, one of which is a horse paddock where equine enthusiasts can enjoy the proximity of these beautiful creatures.

Bearsted Club Campsite is conveniently located to explore the beautiful countryside of Kent, often termed The Garden of England for its lovely appeal. Nature lovers will find hours of pleasure exploring this famous English countryside whilst the caravan park also gives you the opportunity to absorb the ambience of days gone by at the nearby Leeds Castle. For shopping, local treats and fun family attractions, the historic town of Maidstone is a short distance away and slightly further along the North Kent coastline the seaside towns of Whitstable and Margate never fail to charm. If golf or fishing is what you most enjoy then this Kent caravanning site is ideal, with a beautiful golf course just down the road and Majors fishing lake about a mile away you won't be disappointed. You will also find a variety of National Trust properties within easy reach. A convenient bus stop is located at the site entrance for access to all these attractions. Great Site Excellent Wardens

Bearsted Club Campsite
Just come back from a short break and as usual the wardens Dee and Alan are excellent wardens supported by John, as they are always their ready to help.and the site is kept to a high standard and a pleasure to visit. Unfortunately there other members of the club who let it down by not adhering to club rules and no consideration to other members. Will look forward to our next trip here.

Angry male warden puts us on edge

Bearsted Club Campsite
We love Bearsted site for its location and amenities. It’s small and ideally placed for trips into Kent or a walk into Bearsted Green (two great pubs). We have been coming here for years. However, our last two trips have been somewhat marred by the attitude of the male warden. He is aggressive and polices the site at all times of day and night. He is almost looking for misdemeanours and will even pull you up on things he thinks you MAY be about to do! He is obsessed with where you can walk your dog (apparently not on the site - only on the dog walk) - but you cannot get to the dog walk without walking across the site!!! We were even stopped by him as we left the site with our dog asking us where we were going and why weren’t we using the dog walk. He clearly likes to keep things under strict control but I honestly think his attitude is wrong and maybe he is in the wrong job. His wife is wonderful, as are the other two wardens. We will continue to use the site for the reasons I stated before but we try to avoid any contact with him.

Dont Expect Peace and Quiet

Bearsted Club Campsite
The site is situated adjacent to the A20, the M20, HS1 rail and the Southeastern Rail London to Ramsgate line. It is also underneath local airfield approach lanes. Background noise is constant and at rush hour extremely so. Facilities are very clean but dated. Pros: Easy access from the A20, central location for visiting Canterbury and the North and East Kent Coast, short drive to Bearsted Rail Station. Cons:Difficult to exit during busy commute times as the exit is on a sweeping blind bend in a 60 mph limit, site can get very busy and cramped at the weekend, site is on the side of a valley so views are limited, no decent pubs within walking distance, public transport is a long walk away One last comment, as mentioned in other reviews, the male warden is possibly the rudest C&MC employee I have ever met in 40 years. Be warned!

Great stay

Bearsted Club Campsite
We had a great four days stay over the weekend. The site and facilities are very well maintained, Alan and Dee were very helpful and run a very good site. We walked our dog from the site to the woodland trust which is a lovely expanse leading to the green for dinner at the pub. If you have transport it’s worth visiting Mote park which has 450 acres to explore. My only comment is a little hedging around the pitches would give a little privacy. We will be back to stay later in the year.

Excellent visit

Bearsted Club Campsite
Our recent visit to this site was excellent. The warden and his wife were more than helpful. The warden even took time out to give us some valuable training tips for our Cocker Spaniel. Would definitely recommend the site.
