How much does membership cost?
Membership of the Caravan and Motorhome Club (previously The Caravan Club) costs £56 a year (for you, a partner, and children under 18). There is an additional £10 joining fee unless you pay by Direct Debit. Add more family members (over 18 years old) for £8 per person. Join the Club online today.
What are the benefits of joining the Caravan and Motorhome Club?

Is Classifieds just for Club members?
Whether you are a Caravan and Motorhome Club member, non-member or dealer, you can place an ad with us. Club member's adverts can be identified by a member symbol.
What insurance and financial services does the Caravan and Motorhome Club offer?
As well as Caravan Cover, the Club offers a range of insurance products including Motorhome and Campervan Insurance, Car Insurance, Home Insurance and Overseas Holiday Insurance (including travel and European breakdown cover), as well as MAYDAY UK Breakdown Cover.
Can I bring my dog or cat to a Club campsite?
Household pets like dogs and cats are welcome at all of our Club campsites.
Is Wi-Fi available on all Club campites?
There are currently 149 campsites on our network that have Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi quality varies at each campsite and some can only offer a hotspot zone rather than ‘in-van’ connectivity. Please check out our Wi-Fi section for more detail.
What happened to the VAT saving on UK Club campsite bookings?
Despite suffering losses of £10 million in 2020 due to Covid, the Club helped members stay for less by passing on fully the Government’s VAT reduction to members since it was first introduced in July 2020. By reducing the price you paid when staying at our UK Club campsites, we’ve helped members save over £12.5 million.
From 1 April 2022, the VAT rate will revert back up to the pre-Covid level of 20%. As a result, the VAT price reductions we have passed on to members have come to an end. But remember there are many ways members can continue to save with the Club:
What types of pitch are available?
Pitch surface, size and service options vary with each campsite. Details can be found on our pitch types page, including which sites have seasonal and storage pitches.
Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of £13 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.
How do I book an overseas site?
Overseas campsite bookings can easily be made on the Club website and "combined deals" are common when you book a campsite at the same time as your ferry crossing. Booking online means you save the £10 Contact Centre booking fee.
Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg).
You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.
