Why stay here ...

A stay at Fairlight Wood Club Campsite is almost like taking a soothing break in a large and lovely garden. This is a small and intimate caravan park set in flower rich woodland and with many quaint footpaths to wander along. The area is rich in historic value - the nearby seaside town of Hastings was William the Conqueror's base camp in 1066 and it was here he chose to build his famous castle following the historic victory at Battle.

Fairlight Wood Club Campsite offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers - its surrounding woodlands are listed as a Biodiversity area so are ideal for spotting wildlife. It's also in an ideal location for dog walking. The nearby Old Hastings is well worth the visit for its quiet charm - here you can watch the fisherman bringing home their daily catch, eat some of the freshest fish and chips you've ever tasted and then walk the meal off with a leisurely stroll along streets that still hold the atmosphere of days gone by. Choosing a caravan holiday in East Sussex also puts you within a short distance from the scenic East Cliffs, and for walkers who enjoy a bit of a challenge, it connects with a lovely 5 mile Country Park walk which will lead you through a wealth of natural treats such as wooded valleys and secluded beaches. Look out for The Big White House in nearby Pett Level which was featured in the Channel Four series, Grand Designs.

Fantastic first full campsite stay

Fairlight Wood Club Campsite
We stayed at the site in the first week of June and this was our first taste of a full club site having till now used CL's. The site was immaculate and Dean and Cheryl made us very welcome and were always on hand for anything we needed. The facilities were excellent and as we have two small dogs the ability to walk direct from the site was an absolute joy. The second night we walked to "The Sawyers" pub through the woods direct from the site and this was utterly brilliant once again with our dogs. Overall the site was quiet and very comfortable we will be back.

First site in UK

Fairlight Wood Club Campsite
This camping site was our first camping in the UK. We were at first shocked by the price and felt taken as new member of the CAMC. Otherwise in was fine to stay.

Lovely Peaceful site with brilliant wardens

Fairlight Wood Club Campsite
We have just returned from a four night stay at Fairlight and what a wonderful site it is. The wardens are so friendly, everything is so clean and tidy. Lovely 6 minute walk (we timed it ๐Ÿ˜Š) through the woods, which is marked by white paint to the Two Sawyers a lovely pub where we had some food and drink. It is also possible to walk ( but we drove ๐Ÿ˜‚) to Pett Level for walk along the beach. We had a squirrel visit us everyday as we sat outside and waking up to bird song every morning. If you just want to chill this could be the site for you. Also ideal base to head into Hastings or other local attractions. We will return but it is so popular itโ€™s hard to get pitch.

Lovely site

Fairlight Wood Club Campsite
Stayed for 3 nights over Bank Holiday. Great location. Cheryl and Dean hosted a Jubilee celebration which saw more members gather together than weโ€™ve ever seen on any site. They raised much needed funds for Sussex Air Ambulance via a raffle. Great hosts with a well kept site who are a credit to the Club.
