Why stay here ...

Haycraft Club Campsite makes for an ideal base from which to explore the historic towns, picturesque villages and beautiful coastline of Dorset. There are numerous public footpaths and coastal walks near the caravan site for walking enthusiasts, and if you're a beach lover you will be a short distance from the sandy beaches of Swanage or the glorious stretch of golden sands at Studland Bay.

The caravan park also offers easy access to the charming attractions of Poole Harbour, Bournemouth, Dorchester, Weymouth, Wareham and the National Trust's Brownsea Island, home to the traditional red squirrel. Haycraft Club Campsite is situated just a few minutes' walk away from the magnificent Swanage Railway, allowing the opportunity to ride on heritage steam and diesel trains to Swanage town centre and the attractive Corfe Castle village, which is a great favourite with both the young and old alike. Great Wardens!

Haycraft Club Campsite
Excellent wardens - a credit to the Caravan Club! A site in a great location - handy to visit the gems of Dorset. Only downside is that there are no serviced pitches and the toilet block could do with being a bit larger - but it is kept nicely clean by the wardens

Peace and tranquility in Dorset

Haycraft Club Campsite
My wife and I decided to re-visit this site in April this year in our motorhome having stayed here in between the ‘lockdowns’ in 2020. What a great little site… immaculately kept by wardens Andie & Al who we found to be very personable and helpful. Nice walk over the fields to the Kings Arms at Langton Matravers who provide pub grub and from their oven installed in an out building in the garden…quality pizzas. Corfe village and castle is a mere 2.5 mile walk across the fields or alternatively can be reached via the Swanage steam railway which stops at Harman’s Cross just up the road from the site. The bus to Swanage runs on a regular schedule. An absolute gem of a site 😁Jane, Phil & Barney the yellow Labrador - Swift Escape 614

What a lovely area

Haycraft Club Campsite
The site is in a nice quiet location and within easy reach of Swanage. Signage could have been better as we ended up in the village hall carpark. The only let down was the toilet facilities which could do with updating. There is noting there to sit on when trying to dry your feet not even a flip down seat. When you get older trying to ballance on one leg is a bit of a challange.

Lovely Gem

Haycraft Club Campsite
Short but sweet, the wardens couldn't do enough to be helpful and friendly, even mending our TV aerial for us - the TV reception is fabulous here and ours was too with a little help. Yes as the reviews say the shower block is dated but immaculately clean and perfectly functional. Small and perfectly formed site, grass mowed apart rom the wildlife areas which state they are wildlife areas, our dog loves the fenced in dog walk for a good run around. Can't fault it. We did overhear someone saying the pot wash roof was dirty, not sure they should be away in a caravan is this was even noticed. We will be back. (Not sure about good for families but lovely for a couple and a dog).
