Day 1 - Arrive at Camping Les Genêts

Meet your fellow members at the welcome meeting followed by a meal for you all at the campsite’s restaurant.

Day 2 - Aire du Viaduc, Millau and Castelnau Peygarols

Enjoy an excursion to the Aire du Viaduc, home to the tallest bridge in the world, the Millau Viaduct. Towering over the landscape, this is a sight to behold. You’ll also have a guided tour around the beautiful village of Castelnau Peygarols before returning back to your campsite.

Day 3 - A free day to spend at your leisure

Day 4 - Belcastel and Conques Abbey

Today you’ll take a guided visit to Château Belcastel, a beautiful medieval fortress perched atop a gigantic rock. Afterwards, head to the abbey in Conques to discover the contemporary stained glass windows by Pierre Soulages, a renowned French artist and sculptor. In the afternoon you’ll visit the cooperative wine cellar of Marcillac wine.

Day 6 – Excursion to Saint Eulalie de Cernon

During your excursion to Saint Eulalie de Cernon, discover how the Order of the Knights Templar and Hospitallers lived in the middle ages on a guided tour. The commandery has conserved almost all of the buildings of Sainte Eulalie - it is one of the best-preserved in the south of France. You’ll then enjoy an afternoon of ‘vélorail’ - cycling over the railway! Lunch is included on this trip.

Day 7 – A free day to spend at your leisure

Day 8 – Villefranche de Rouergue and Sauveterre de Rouergue

You’ll take a coach excursion today to two beautiful medieval towns. In the morning, immerse your senses in the sights and delightful smells of the Aveyron at the wonderful market of Villefranche de Rouergue. Afterwards, enjoy a guided tour of the town. In the afternoon you’ll stop off at Sauveterre de Rouergue for some free time to explore at your leisure.

Day 9 - Free Day

Day 10 – Rodez

Delight in a full-day excursion to the historic city of Rodez, home to architecture dating back to the 14th century. Spend time in the morning perusing the market stalls and exploring the city at leisure, before taking a guided tour of the old town and gothic-style cathedral in the afternoon.

Days 12 – 18: Peyrebrune Tower to Roquefort

Day 12 – Peyrebrune Tower and Brousse le Château

Enjoy a cultural visit to the remnants of the 11th Century Peyrebrune Tower, the Lévézou region’s last castle, which dominates the local skyline and offers spectacular views across the valley. In the afternoon, explore Brousse le Château, said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Day 13 – A free day to spend at your leisure                                      

Day 14 - The Olt Valley

Today you will visit ‘Chez Gigi’ in St Martin de Lenne and taste their unique spit-roasted waffle.  Then visit the ‘Veraconcept’ artisan glassblower and in the afternoon, explore the fortified village of St Eulalie d’Olt.

Day 15 - A free day to spend at your leisure                                                       

You might like to take advantage of the sandy beach on the campsite’s lakefront to relax after your previous day’s activities.                                                            

Day 16 – Roquefort Cheese Caves

Head out on a guided visit to the famous cheese caves today, where thousands of cheeses are aged so that they can bear the name Roquefort. Your tour will be followed by a cheese tasting session. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Tarn River through a protected area of natural beauty.                      

Day 17 - Free day and farewell meal

Spend the day at your leisure. End the day with a farewell meal and traditional dancing this evening.

Day 18 - Depart campsite before midday
