Day 1 – Arrive at Camping Les Saules

Enjoy an afternoon at your leisure before meeting your fellow members and tour hosts for a welcome meeting and drink.

Day 2 – A free day at your leisure

Day 3 – Cycle excursion to Château de Villesavin and Chocolaterie

Embark on your first cycle trip today. Head off on the gentle but scenic paths to Château de Villesavin where you will stop for a picnic lunch in the grounds. After a guided tour of the château, cycle on to the Max Vaucher Chocolaterie for an explanation of the chocolate-making process and of course some tasting! Afterwards, cycle back to the campsite.

Day 4 – A free day at your leisure

Take some time to relax after the previous day’s cycling

Day 5 – Blois

Your next cycling excursion takes you to the beautiful town of Blois. Once there, you will have a 2 hour walking tour of Blois to visit the hidden away places of the town. You will also get to sample some local specialities along the way before then heading back to the campsite by bicycle.

Day 7 – 11: Loire boat trip and Château de Troussay

Day 7 – Amboise and Loire boat trip

Have a rest from cycling today and enjoy a coach trip to Amboise. Enjoy the town’s beautiful market and its medieval charm. After lunch, you will be going to the equally pretty town of Chaumont where you will take a boat trip on a traditional Loire ‘Toue’ (wooden, flat-bottomed boat) with an aperitif on board.

Day 8 – A free day at your leisure

Day 9 – Cheverny and Château de Troussay

Today is the last of the cycling excursions. This time your route is a leisurely ride through Cheverny to the Château de Troussay. Afterwards, head over to a local wine producer for an afternoon of wine tasting

Day 10 – Free day and farewell meal

Today you have the chance to do your own thing. You could visit one of the other iconic châteaux in the area or explore a nearby vineyard. End the tour with a farewell meal at the campsite restaurant with your fellow cyclists and tour hosts.

Day 11 - Depart the campsite by midday
