Touring is the best way to discover Italy. Take your caravan or motorhome on the open roads and soak up the land of opera, religion, and of course ice cream.
Milan, Turin, Rome, Pisa, Naples and Venice – they’ll all have you snapping away on your camera. Visit super-chic Milan for Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper; Turin for Fiat cars and the Turin Shroud; Rome for all things religious; Pisa for leaning towers and impressive artwork; Naples for Pompeii; and Venice for romance and gondola rides.
Venture outside the cities and enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Como and Lake Garda; the UNESCO-protected Dolomite mountains; and beautiful Tuscany.
Don’t forget the thrilling coastal route from Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast with its picture-perfect villages. Careful, you’ll drive on steep cliffs that plunge straight into the sea.
We recommend that you book a stay at the following caravan sites in Italy – all have been inspected by us – so you can expect high standards.

Know before you go
Overseas campsite bookings can easily be made on the Club website and "combined deals" are common when you book a campsite at the same time as your ferry crossing. Booking online means you save the £10 Contact Centre booking fee.
Yes, deposits for overseas bookings are calculated at 20% for a site and 25% for a ferry (unless it is a non-refundable ferry/Eurotunnel in which case full payment is due at time of booking). The final balance is due 10 weeks prior to travel.
European campsites are star-rated by their own local authorities and can have different standards and regulations to the UK. However, the Club's travel team handpick and inspect our campsites so that members can be sure of a high standard.
The Club's first time abroad section explains everything you need to know about going on your first overseas touring holiday.
