Perfection!

Cae Mawr Club Campsite
This has been the best site we have stayed at. A warm welcome at reception, a choice of hard-standing pitches and a real feeling of openness and spaciousness (Cae Mawr means Big Field) meant we were in a special place. Having no toilet block is no hardship with modern caravans and it added to the peaceful and tranquil ambience of the site. The site has accessibility to wondrous locations on Anglesey by car, bicycle or foot. We walked the Coastal path from Traeth ((Beach) Bwchan to Cemaes Bay, taking in Amlwch. We cycled to Llangefni and back through Dingle Nature Reserve to Lynn Cefni along quiet back roads. The staff were always interested in your activities for the day and then chat to you after your day’s experiences. Yet this never detracts from their work in maintaining a wonderfully tidy and efficient site. The staff are a credit to the Caravan and Motorhome Club for their enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to excellence. I truly believe Cae Mawr to be the most welcoming, relaxing, and enjoyable site we have stayed at. To misquote Arnie’s Terminator, ‘we’ll be back’!

Brilliant Wardens, Thank You

Cae Mawr Club Campsite
Super site well laid out, generous pitches, grass regularly cut, the gives a light and airy feel. Lovely beaches short easy drives away. Unfortunately we had to leave urgently halfway through our holiday due to our lovely dog Alfie, his on going health issue worsened. Heather and Ed the wardens couldn't have been more kind and compassionate. Sadly Alfie had to be put to sleep when we got home. He is now in 'doggy heaven' running on his Favourite beaches, having visited most of England, Wales and Scotlands beaches during his 13 years with us. A big thank you also to assistant warden Tricia who became our saviour, introducing us to a kind gentleman from County Durham (sorry forgot to ask his name) who brilliantly sorted out our gas leak on arrival at the site. It was a failure of the yearly service done by the dealership service dept. In over 20 years as now, the Caravan and Motorhome Club, member we have never needed the support we so badly needed as on that holiday at Cae Mawr. It was there in bundles and put us at ease with what was very stressful time for us in our late 70's, Other members offered there help too. It was like being with lots of family members having that huge support. Thanks to everyone. Hope to go back to this wonderful site (with red squirrels to spot) and continue our sightseeing on Anglesey. The small piece of the island we saw was beautiful, quiet roads, wide open spaces, lots to do for all ages. Thank You the Caravan and Motorhome Club and its lovely Wardens

Cae Mawr Club Campsite
Excellent site very well kept. Good size pitches, and well set out. Been here a few times and it was the best we had seen it. Warden helpful.

Peaceful well kept site

Cae Mawr Club Campsite
Just returned from one of our regular stays at this beautiful quiet and peaceful site. Had a lovely welcome from Ed the warden who together with Heather kept the site immaculate and who always gave a cheery wave or had time for a pleasant chat. There are no toilet facilities on this site and no children's play ground. Nearest beach is an easy 30 minute downhill walk (although steeper on way back) and 40 mins walk down the back road will take you into Benllech itself. Chip shop next to Tesco is highly recommended,

Gem of a site

Cae Mawr Club Campsite
Cae Mawr is a gem of a site. Adults only, very peaceful and beautifully kept with very friendly wardens. The lack of a facilities block means that the site is perhaps quieter than some, but that's how we like it. Using one's own facilities is not really a hardship. There are numerous chemical disposal sites and water points throughout the site. Rabbits and red squirrels abound and the site is well sheltered from the wind. The beach is a slight distance from the site but not too taxing a walk. All in all a great place for a relaxing break away from it all !
