Located in the glorious lush surroundings of Snowdonia National Park, Coed-y-Llwyn Club Campsite is a sight to behold for those visiting for the first time. The caravan park has been developed with families in mind making the park an all-round place of activity or relaxation. Whatever mood you happen to be in!
The Coed-y-Llwyn Club Campsite is particularly geared up for outdoor lovers, who can venture up Snowdon, enjoy the range of water sports at Lake Bala, find safe sandy beaches on the Lleyn Peninsula, play golf at Porthmadog, and cycle in the mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin. Cycling can also be enjoyed at Blaenau Ffestiniog, with traffic free routes nearby or on the beautiful Mawddach Trail from Barmouth to Dolgellau. Zip World, home to the largest and longest zip lines in Europe is only a short drive away, there are two locations you can enjoy, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Bethesda.
As the caravan site is situated in Gellilydan, Blaenau Ffestiniog (narrow gauge) visitors must take a ride on its railway, an essential journey for all rail enthusiasts. Even more so is a visit to Portmeirion - location for the cult 60s TV series 'The Prisoner' - designed to show that even the most beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it. There are 5 steam railways within an hour's travel from the site with The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland being the most popular. There is also the Snowdon Mountain Railway, one of the biggest attractions in Snowdonia. You can also visit historical castles such as Harlech and Caernarfon.
There are three beautiful landscape gardens within 10 miles of the site. Portmeiron is the most famous and has stunning views over Dwyryd estuary. The lesser known is Plas Tan Y Bwlch, 13 acres of Victorian woodland trails. There is also Plas Brondanw with its stunning view of Snowdon and Cnicht.
The newest attraction in Snowdonia is "Surf Snowdonia" (approx. 50min drive/27 miles from the Site). It is the world's first inland surfing lagoon, with continuous rolling waves. It caters for beginners as well as experienced surfers and has free entry and parking for spectators.

Ideal route from North and South: (Via A5 through Langollen and Corwen) - 3m after Corwen turn left off A5 at the 2nd set of traffic lights (signposted Bala) onto A494. At Bala turn right onto A4212 (signposted Trawsffynydd). In about 17.5m turn right at the T junction onto A470/487 (signposted Porthmadog), within 3m continue straight on A487 (do not turn right onto A470 signposted Ffestiniog). In 0.25m turn left into lane signposted Gellilydan and immediately fork left. The site is on the left in 0.25m. Route from Betws-Y-Coed via Ffestiniog is an alternative route; however, the road is restricted in places and gradients are more severe. Access road narrow - please call site for advice.

Beautiful site
Coed-Y-Llwyn Club Campsite
Just back from a 4 night stay here - just wow, beautiful location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Site was lovely and clean, if you are looking to visit snowdonia this is the perfect site for you.
Fantastic
Coed-Y-Llwyn Club Campsite
Don’t know where to start but this site was fantastic. Arrived at 7.30pm to friendly happy wardens, told us which pitches were available and which would be best for our twin axle., explained layout/ where facilities were etc on site.
All five wardens were extremely helpful and friendly at all times, never come across a more helpful team.
Facilities were clean and tidy as was the site. Lots of comings and goings with people staying for one or two nights but extremely well managed and a lovely peaceful site.
Walk to the waterfall us a must as is a visit to the Bryan Arms across the road.
It was definitely worth the drive from Cornwall and we’ll definitely be back.

Real gem of a site
Coed-Y-Llwyn Club Campsite
Arrived and the staff were really friendly. Chatted for a while and then found a beautiful pitch. Really level.
Went for a meal in the local pub which was really good value and literally across the road from the entrance to the site with a big beer garden and dog-friendly.
Site has access to a circular walk to Trawsfynydd - didn't do it this time but have done it before and it is well worth doing. We walked out from the site and to a waterfall which was beautiful - only saw a handful of people all day.
Facilities were good and clean and the site was really well presented.
We will definitely use again - great if you are coming up from South Wales or down from the North as a stopover or extend you stay for access to the amazing scenery and activities that are in Snowdonia.

Very Good Stay

Just spent 4 days at this site. A warm welcome, large level pitch and spotless facilities. WiFi very good. Excellent base to strike out to Snowdonia or the coast. Recommended.
Peaceful Break
Coed-Y-Llwyn Club Campsite
Helpful friendly staff from the minute we arrived. Always happy to help and give advise when asked about both the area and camping issues. The facilities were spotlessly clean whenever I went in. There was a small shop with a few basis supplies, including milk and bread. There were plenty of walks from the site and also excellent cycling. Some of the cycling was not for the faint hearted as a lot of the hills were very strenuous. The route around the lake was beautiful however some stretches were very steep, but the views were definitely worth it. The Bryn arms which is a 5 min walk from the site served excellent food. There is a bus stop within 10 min walk from the site with buses to Porthmadog.
We had an excellent stay here and would definitely come to this site again.
