Why stay here ...

Maragowan Club Campsite is a picturesque family holiday location nestled on the bank of the River Lochay in Scotland. The caravan park is within comfortable walking distance of the quaint little holiday town of Killin where you can idle the time away in the various shops and restaurants.

Maragown Club Campsite includes a well-equipped facility for babies and toddlers under 4 years old where parents can tend to the little ones in comfort. It also puts you within easy reach of a wealth of fun outdoor activities. Cycling routes, including the National Cycle Route 7 and the Rob Roy Way, are in close proximity and mountain bikes can be hired in the village of Killin. Kayaking, hill walking and mountaineering can all be undertaken from the caravan site. Walking can be enjoyed by all abilities, with numerous Munros, Corbetts and pleasant hill walks within a few miles of the site. For a step back in time with scenic beauty, visit Loch Katrine and enjoy a Sir Walter Scott steamer cruise. For the more adventurous, there are water sports centres close by at Lochearnhead and Kenmore on Loch Tay, where small boats can be launched into the loch. Scenic drives up the Glens where local wildlife abounds are also not to be missed when visiting this idyllic caravan site. A hotel opposite the site also offers live music on certain nights. Maragowan Club Campsite
Lovely warm welcome on arrival, couldn't do enough for you.yes you do hear traffic from the road but no wonder you are on the edge of a town which didn't bother us or spoil our time there.Facility's were nice and clean plenty of walks you just have to look at your map as now you have the freedom to roam.Good to see people using the lock for water activity. Look forward to coming back.

Good location for a short stay

Maragowan Club Campsite
We had a pitch by the river side and thoroughly enjoyed the views of the ducks and any water sports enthusiasts that paddled by. There are a few walks from the site which can be enjoyed. Would recommend around a weeks stay is long enough. In Aberfeldy at the other end of Loch Tay is a great butcher and baker. There is a Co-Op in Killin which is well stocked. We found the shower/toilet facilities clean and very acceptable.

Brilliant campsite

Maragowan Club Campsite
We enjoyed 6 nights at this site in May and can't say enough good things about it. The wardens on arrival were courteous and friendly and we did not wait long. The pitches were all large and the site was beautifully situated by a river with mountains as a backdrop. From the site you can walk into Killin for food and also to the banks of Loch Tay past the ruins of a castle. We didn't use the toilet block so can't comment on it. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Toilets

Maragowan Club Campsite
Having just left the Maragowan site at Killin I felt I had to leave a review after reading some of the negative comments. We had just visited a privately owned site which was much more expensive and it was a building site. The showers were luke warm and went off after 10 seconds, unbelievable! The showers at this site were clean, very hot, powerful and did not go off until you turned them off yourself. They were super. I believe the flooring is concrete because of the possibility of flooding. We found them to be clean every day and will certainly stay again.
