Why stay here ...

We are currently in discussion with the Sandringham Estate regarding the opportunity to upgrade this campsite. If the plans go ahead, building works will begin from January 2023, therefore we are not taking any new bookings from this date. Updates will be provided in due course as we learn more.

Sandringham Estate Club Campsite is located in the heart of the Royal Estate. The park boasts more than enough facilities and activities to keep the whole family happy. These include lush walking trails, an adventure playground and a Visitors' Centre complete with tea room, gift shop and Royal Garden flower stall. Sandringham House is the most famous residence of the Royal Family - it is usually closed during the Queen's holiday (end of July and beginning of August) but during the remaining months between Easter and October, the House, Museum and grounds are fully open to visitors, as is the Country Park. Other nearby attractions include the moated country house and National Trust property, Oxborough Hall, located in Swaffham.

The town of King's Lynn is a mere 6 miles away from the Sandringham Estate Club Campsite and is an attractive and historic harbour town with a great food market on Tuesdays. The caravan park gives you easy access to the lovely Hunstanton, a traditional seaside resort offering the delights of sandy beaches, candy striped cliffs and the fascinating Sea Life Centre.

A mobile pfish and chip van visits this site; please ask the site staff for details.

Please Note: Notice to dog owners. Incidents of dogs falling ill following a visit to the woodland on the Sandringham Estate can be reported between the months of August and November. This is not specific to the Club site but dog owners should be aware and take precautions when visiting the woodland area around the site. For more information about Seasonal Canine Illness please refer to the Animal Health Trust Website.

Fantastic site

The Sandringham Estate Club Campsite
The site is perfect for a peaceful stay, surrounded by woodland, beautiful location. Site facilities are excellent and the Wardens keep them impeccable, although the same cannot be said of the paying users. The Wardens were all approachable, knowledgeable and happy to help in any way they can. The only down side I became aware of was the couple on Pitch 31 who left on June 1st moaning to the Warden’s about children being children, they were playing not screaming and shouting at 10 am! I would suggest if you don’t appreciate happy children book an adult only site, by the way we are child free adults! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going back. Thank you.

Nice and Quiet

The Sandringham Estate Club Campsite
Really nice site that is quiet and has lots of wildlife. There is a lovely social club (Babingley) down the road, route sign posted through woods, which is very welcoming and is open every day, a little tip, if you go there at night take a torch as it can be very dark. The walks up to Sandringham house are lovely and well worth the effort. All in all a site that has everything and is close to the North Norflok coast for great days out in the car.

Loss of a favourite?

The Sandringham Estate Club Campsite
This is one of our favourite sites, the location is excellent and the facilities very good. We are sorry to learn that it is likely to close for "redevelopment" and hope that this does not mean lots of frivilous additions such as social areas, barbecues, big play areas and games pitches, which will mean we will not visit again. On the Saturday of our stay a lot of vans left and by 11.30am new arrivals were being admitted despite the 1pm rule. The whole atmosphere of the place changed with large groups on adjacent pitches, unsupervised children around the site, some on bikes and skateboards, and also dogs, not with a human and not on leads. No chance of any peace and quiet. A "nightmare" for the staff who have our sympathy in trying to control all this for the benefit of the majority of CAMC users of the site.

Peaceful site out of school holidays

The Sandringham Estate Club Campsite
Great site for walking and cycling. Clean facilities, friendly staff and, although the site was full, very quiet. Great location for visiting Hunstanton, Sandringham Estate and Bircham Windmill. We cycled on quiet roads using Route 1 and the Peddars Way cycle route. Wood fired pizza van on Thursday and Fish and chip van visits on Friday. Can recommend the afternoon tea at Sandringham Estate for a special treat - use the club savings to get 10% discount. Lots of dog friendly pubs in the area..

Excellent little Gem of a Site

The Sandringham Estate Club Campsite
This was by far the best site we have stayed on. It was busy, but still quiet and peaceful. I stayed with my husband and our dog. There are so many walks direct from this site for dog walkers. There is also a small on site dog walk too. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Wonderful area all round. Be aware that it is teeming with wild rabbits so if you have a dog which reacts to them they come out around dusk and dawn. Most other people staying here were of the same mindset and very considerate, but there are always a few who ruin it for others by bringing reactive and unpleasant dogs with them that are aggressive to other people and dogs, there were two pitches with nuisance dogs here during our stay, but they are in the minority thank goodness. We initially booked in for 5 nights but we (and our dog) enjoyed our stay so much, that whilst there we booked another 3 nights. Highly recommend it here, it’s well worth a visit. We just wish it were nearer to us as we live in Kent and would love to make this a regular site we visit. The roads around the area and leading to this site are nice and wide too which we liked. Be aware do not arrive before 1pm as ALL sites including here are clamping down on this. All in all, EXCELLENT, site cannot wait to return in the near future.
