Why stay here ...

In an area which traditionally has a mild, warm climate making it an excellent summer getaway, Blackpool South Club Campsite is level and open, with good screening from the road. This caravan park in Lancashire gives visitors convenient access to the town of Blackpool, which as Britain's premier seaside resort offers non-stop amusement for the whole family from morning to night. Children can also enjoy the playground on site, and horse riding which is based just around the corner.

Blackpool South Club Campsite is an ideal gateway to the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Famous attractions include The Sands and the Illuminations (late August to early November) and the Blackpool Pleasure Beach where you will find thrilling rides like the tallest, scariest roller coaster in the UK.

But the reasons to stay at Blackpool South aren't limited to the city limits of Blackpool. Just a few miles south of the site are the more relaxed towns of Lytham and St Anne's, famous for their golf courses and elegant shopping arcades as well as beautiful restaurants and exhilarating walks. St Anne's has plenty of sandy beaches ideal for families, and in Lytham you can take a leisurely stroll around Lowther Park or along Lytham Green. Blackpool South Club Campsite really does have something for everyone anytime of the year.

A perfect overnight stop

Blackpool South Club Campsite
We booked an overnight stop at this site to break the journey on our way to the Lake District. We had a warm welcome on site and chose a lovely sunny pitch. The facilities were spotlessly clean and there was a small information room. The site is only short distance from the motorway making it a perfect site for a stop-over, although this obviously means there is some road noise (although it didn't bother us and we slept well. A great site and we will return.

Perfect for a holiday

Blackpool South Club Campsite
This site is nice, clean and well looked after. The staff are friendly and always give you a wave or hello. The site is a quick 5 minute drive away from the heart of Blackpool and was perfect for my getaway. With shops close by and plenty of walks it was perfect. The only issues was slight traffic noise but this cant be helped. The other was it isn't close to any bus stops so have to either drive or get a taxi (the staff are very helpful in arranging this for you) All in all I give it a 9 out of 10

Easy to find - well managed and exceeded expectations

Blackpool South Club Campsite
First time at this site and overall impressed. It is a flat site with good sized pitches which are easy to reverse onto. Facilities are excellent and very clean as is the whole campsite. Wardens are very helpful and polite. The only negative would be that you are quite a way from anywhere so you do need transport - one Motor-homer told me he had to take a taxi to get back to the site as the bus stop was some walk away. However overall an excellent site and a credit to the wardens. Would not hesitate to return.

Functional and friendly.

Blackpool South Club Campsite
This is a very clean site with friendly and helpful staff and good-sized pitches. The site in general and (men's) toilets and showers were admirably clean and in good order. (The Light of My Life was not with me on this trip, so I cannot comment on the ladies' facilities.) One very minor quibble: shower curtains were missing from the men's showers (though the rails and hooks were there), though they were useable with just a little care. Is this a Covid-19 precaution? From the point of view of access the site is both well and badly placed. General access is good. Getting there is easy - just off a roundabout near the end of the motorway. (See other totally justified reviews about the very short final access via a narrow lane. Members should definitely not arrive before opening hours to avoid blocking the site entrance and public road.) The site is badly placed from the point of view of public transport. I was told that the nearest bus stop is thirty minutes away. Not an issue for caravanners and for motor caravanners who bring their own car, but for other motor caravanners not so good, if like me you both have a self-propelled van and are ancient enough to have a bus pass . Taxis are available. The site itself is functional and pleasant, but like many club sites, fairly boring. Not somewhere you'd go for the joy of the place itself, but a very clean and convenient place to pitch up. Ideal base for caravanners and for motor caravanners bringing a car along to visit Blackpool and the surrounding area. I'll certainly be back for one or two night stays when I have business in Blackpool.

Quiet site with excellent pitches

Blackpool South Club Campsite
A lovely quiet site with good sized pitches. Toilet block is dated but perfectly functional and clean. Very helpful assistant site managers. Shame about the inconsiderate member who turned up before 12 noon when arrival time is 1300 hours and then blocked the entrance so you cannot get out, whilst they unhooked their car from the back of their motorhome. Club should make the arrival times the subject of an additional email when making a booking.
