Why stay here ...

One of our many Somerset caravan sites, Cheddar Club Campsite is situated on the very edge of Cheddar Village and boasts magnificent views of the Mendips and surrounding countryside - an absolute walker's paradise.  Amenities in the village include a variety of shops, pubs and takeaways. Cheddar Caves and Gorge and the famous Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company are all within easy walking distance of the caravan site. With Wookey Hole Caves and Mill and England's smallest city of Wells just a short drive away, you are sure to have plenty to see and do during your stay.

For the active and sporting visitor, the Cheddar Club Campsite offers access to loads of fun activities in the area - karting, pony-trekking, golf, off-road driving and a great cycle path are all available just a few minutes away. For fishing and water sport enthusiasts there is Cheddar Reservoir a short distance from the caravan park, with a host of different activities throughout the year. If you would rather just relax on a nice beach, Burnham and Weston-super-Mare are both within a half hour's drive, offering all the shopping conveniences you could wish for. Visit the site in November and you will also be able to enjoy the colourful atmosphere and bright lights of the Burnham-on-Sea Carnival.

We will also be adding new serviced pitches and working on the infrastructure of the campsite during part of winter 2022/23. Although the campsite will remain open throughout the works, some pitch access may be restricted at certain times.

Recent Stay 2.6.2022

Cheddar Club Campsite
Hello First time stay at this site. Situated really close to the Gorge and easy walking distance to nearby village. Was disappointed by the shower block only 4 showers for all the females on site!! so had to wait a couple of times for them to be free and they are very dated, with a plastic stool in there to put your stuff on!! Staff were ok and keep the site clean and tidy. Was also disappointed that they didn't make an effort for the Queen's Jubilee weekend, apart from " come and get a cake and drink between 3-5pm" Site seems more expensive than the site opposite which is an Adult only one with the same facilities. Found it strange also that the motorhome waste is as you go through the exit barrier, you hold other people up whilst you are dispersing water as they can't get past you.

Lovely stay

Cheddar Club Campsite

First time at this site. Site was well kept & clean. Where we were pitched you got road noise through the day but quietened down early evening. Quite surprised that I had read before arriving that the shower block had been refurbished, not sure where, as it looked tired to me. Only 4 showers which was always in a messy state (not wardens fault, other members) Site is well situated, right on the edge of the village. Wardens give a detailed map on how to get into the village by walking. Just a 20min walk to the start of the gorge. Wells, Weston-Super-Mare & Glastonbury all within 30mins drive.
Was disappointed to find out that this site was considerably pricer to the Cheddar Bridge site immediately across the road & had the same facilities!

Good location, poor shower block

Cheddar Club Campsite
Great location on edge of town, but fairly quiet and peaceful. Spacious pitches. However, route to ladies shower and toilet block seemed cramped as it was also main route to reception. I am astonished to read in current camc magazine that facilities have recently been refurbished, because many of the toilets didn't flush properly and consequently left in a dirty state. Also the showers (only 4 cubicles) were tired and certainly not up to the standard of more recently modernised sites that I have stayed on. Goodness knows what is was like beforehand!

What a location

Cheddar Club Campsite
We were so lucky with the weather on our stay . It’s a great location so near the village . We went in the gorge walk , what views ! The pitch was very spacious . Wells is nearby and a great day out. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby .

Expensive site Site

Cheddar Club Campsite
Expensive the site next door with hard standing and electric is £9 a night cheaper and a CM CL site over the road with electric grass pitch was only £19 a night. Nice location but will book the Cheddar site over the lane next time. Need to get prices down a little £5 a night for electric hook up is expensive.
