Why stay here ...

Updated 6 May 2022: We are now welcoming arrivals up to and including Sunday 25 September 2022, departing no later than 12 noon, on Monday 26 September 2022.

Please Note: Although not expected, June-September bookings could be subject to cancellation if notice is received from the landlord.

The Club has been operating Baltic Wharf campsite for several years on a renewable, short term lease while the Council planned for redevelopment of the site into up to 190 new homes. After the departure date above the Club will sadly vacate the site.

Noise disruption whilst on site can be expected seven days per week between 7am-7pm. Due to the extensive roadworks through Bristol, please ensure you review the driving directions on the "Map" tab below before you set off.

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite is a waterside haven, located right in the heart of Bristol's beautifully re-developed dockland and close to the city centre with its lively shops and entertainment. For families staying at the campsite, great attractions include the Zoo and Downs Park: a cosy and safe place for young children to play and also an ideal picnic spot.

Many excellent cycle paths can be easily accessed from Baltic Wharf Club Campsite, including the Bristol to Bath path if you are feeling particularly energetic and adventurous. A selection of boat trips are available from the campsite, which makes for an excellent way to take in some of the most scenic views in this part of the county.

Love the location of this site

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite
Great site for location. Such a shame it’s closing..at some point! The temporary warden possibly needs to balance efficiency with bluntness. I thought he was a little rude whilst being efficient. There are ways of talking to people even people who possibly haven’t followed rules. All members are adults and no need to embarrass in front of other members. Just a quiet word would be needed, issue a bit of a warning. Saying that, he was frustrated the rules hadn’t been followed and was probably sick of it - I’d followed the rules, just witnessed how he spoke to the chap. But don’t let it put you off. If you’re like me, you have very little to do with the wardens. If you can get a pitch in site… do it before it closes. You won’t regret it.

excellent stay

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite
Really enjoyed our time here, it was excellent, site clean and tidy, staff polite and efficient, facilities were very clean. Would be happy to visit again and recommend to anyone. The site is extremely well located for our needs and well placed to visit SS Great Britain. Plenty to see and do close by. Pub just outside the back gate on edge of Wharf. It'll be a shame if the site has to shut at some point.

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite
Good to be here again.well run by wardens and the little dog. We made bad choice pitch (39) as all family behind other side of hedge constantly walked through.doesnt do much for tree or hedge !! Pleased to see another date for closing.we keep thinking it will be our last visit.perhaps Council have finally seen how many people are happy to visit and spend money in the city. Looking forward to summer and autumn return.

Fantastic site & wonderful staff

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite
We have often stayed at Baltic Wharf and it feels like coming home when we do. The staff are friendly and helpful and the park is always spotlessly clean. The location is great and the facilities are excellent. We are very sad that this site is closing, it is a veritable jewel of a site and it would be great if there was a long term reprieve ... Book a stay at this site and you won't be disappointed we love it at Baltic Wharf.

Brilliant site - staff and location. Please keep it open!!

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite
This site, in the heart of Bristol docks, is a lovely site, really well-located, and a credit to the Caravan and Motorhome Club. We stay here often, even though we only live 2 hours away in Devon, because we have family in Bristol, and this site is perfect for our visits. But its popularity sometimes makes it hard to get a booking. So we really do not want this site to close, unless and until an alternative site in a similarly great part of the city is found and available. We love it here.
