Why stay here ...

Following redevelopment on Pembrey Country Park, children can now enjoy a brand new play area and other site-wide improvements include a newly installed motorhome waste point and 12 new serviced pitches.

Set on the edge of a 520-acre country park, Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite has all the luxuries you could ever wish for. The space allows a range of outdoor sporting activities to participate in with the use of the seven-mile stretch of safe, sandy beach only a mile away. You could spend your entire holiday happily occupied within the caravan park itself and for families this may be the perfect site to spend your holidays at.

For the parents, Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite's main selling point is the superb Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course just 4 miles away. Older children have the use of an equestrian centre with riding on the caravan site as well as a super dry-ski slope and toboggan ride. For the little ones, the miniature railway is noteworthy, and there's also an adventure playground to keep them busy. Located in picturesque Pembrey, Llanelli, this part of Wales retains the splendour that makes it a favourite amongst caravan owners of all ages. Even getting to the beach is a pleasure with access available for cycles. Bird and butterfly watchers will find the area a delight, and there are a whole series of guided walks. There are many restaurants in the seaside town of Burry Port just two miles from site, offering a variety of places to eat.

First Visit

Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite
Enjoyed our stay, we had booked a fully serviced pitch but as another reviewer pointed out the row of serviced pitches are not in the best place they are close together and we had to reverse MH into trees/bushes to get it fully onto hard pitch. We asked if we could move and the staff were very helpful not only did we have a much nicer pitch but they refunded us the extra it cost for the fully serviced spot. Good walks for dogs plus the beach and Country Park are easily accessible.

Return Visitor

Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite
This was our 3rd visit to Pembrey once again had a wonderful time, lots of cycling and things to do. However the conflicting report on arrival times, we endeavoured to arrive just after 1pm (exactly 1305hrs) and found at least 4 or 5 arrivals already setting up which means they must have arrived before 1pm. Whilst we were there we noted that some wardens allowed access prior to 1pm others not until 1pm. We travel approx 3.5 hrs to reach Pembrey and it’s annoying when we have ensured we adhere to the times laid down that others can arrive early and gain access. Also the ongoing problem with dog owners allowing their dogs to defecate on pitches, this happened within our sight at least 2/3 times, admittedly it was cleaned up however the residue still contaminates the pitch. As non pet owners (I appreciate this will cause controversy) we would like a clean pitch to set up on, perhaps pitches for non pet owners may be an idea. We stayed in a serviced pitch, they are not in the best position, perhaps a move to the row behind would be better and provide more serviced pitches. The van that visits each weekday is great and his custard tart is to die for, only wish he visited every day and perhaps stocked daily papers as well. We will be returning later in the year. Thank you to all the hard work keeping this site clean and tidy.

Great site

Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite
Driving access to site is easy. Great site. Wardens friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean, walking access to the Pembrey Country park is gained by a gate on the west side of the site which keeps you away from the traffic going into the park.

Who Could Ask For Anything More?

Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite
We returned to Pembrey after a very long time away, and it was simply wonderful. We could not fault any part of our stay. The facilities were spotless, the staff were very helpful, and the grounds were in immaculate condition. We will return as soon as we can find another space in our calendar.

Lovely site

Pembrey Country Park Club Campsite
Must say a few words about the reception received on arrival. We were unfortunately early. Big mistake! Having been told big no no!! we were instructed to enter site and drive round and exit site as not allowed to wait at entrance, where we was not blocking any one. We drove out and found somewhere to turn around not easy as road is narrow. We then waited on main road causing congestion for other road users. I must add that the site was virtually empty it was early in season. The warden was not very accommodating .Having visited other sites with 1 pm.arrival time. We have been able to wait at check in and in some cases allowed to enter. No one can accurately time their arrival depending on distance travelled or road conditions. Another negative is the insistence that dogs must be taken off site for toileting, not always easy. The positive is the sites location , huge beach and great outdoors space. Worth returning even with abovementioned.
