Why stay here ...

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite is currently undergoing some large-scale refurbishment. This campsite will see a new toilet block (featuring level access), more touring pitches (including premium and serviced). There will be a new playground, a social space including outdoor seating and a 'pop-up catering pitch'. Service points will be upgraded, improvements will be made to the site entrance and roads, and EV charging points will be added to the car park. The campsite is currently closed and plans to reopen on 11 December 2022.

In the meantime, you might like to try some alternative campsites nearby:

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite boasts a range of pitches that are located in intimate tree-shaded glades and in open grassed areas. A pretty wooded parkland caravan site, the area is adjacent to the grounds of Chirk Castle in the heart of Marcher country. The castle remains the last Edward I Welsh castle still lived in today and features the award-winning gardens with thatched 'Hawk House', shrub garden, lime tree avenue and yew topiary. There are plenty of walks to enjoy in the local area and also a lovely dog walk from the site.

There are several historic houses and castles to visit that are characteristic of Chirk and located right on the doorstep of Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite. Further afield there are opportunities to explore the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty such as Ceiriog Valley, the Berwyn Mountains and Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales. At Llangollen, train enthusiasts can view the scenic Dee Valley by steam train or by canal boat providing a momentary rest. You might also consider a visit to the National Trust property, Erddig, reported to be one of Britain's finest historic houses. After a hard day's sightseeing, you will find a selection of restaurants in the area offering incredibly good value and quality.

Lovely site

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
Peaceful and attractive site - pitched in one of the wooded areas which was quiet and felt secluded. Rabbits everywhere - fun to watch especially when night time and lights on! Facilities great as you would expect. Short, delightful walk from site to canal and past the aqueduct. Overall a fantastic location and a peaceful first experience as a ‘motorhomer’! Will stay again.

One of our favourite sites

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
We stay at LMP quite often. It's a lovely site next to Chirk Castle and a short walk to the Llangollen Canal which takes you to the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct which is a world heritage site. The village of Chirk is 5 minutes walk and had a couple of pubs a Spar & a Coop. I'm not really saying much about the site facilities etc because they're all being refurbished & the site will be closed until September 2022. I hope the Club leave these reviews up so next season people can use them to gauge I'd the site & surrounding area is right for them.

Lady Margaret not at Home!

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
We are caravanners recently converted to panel van conversion and this was our first proper trip. Still getting used to the different way of operating and this site was ideal. So much to do direct from the site. Cycling on mostly traffic free trails (canal side) and walking. Whilst we didn’t use it on this trip, the rail station is very handy. Peaceful (some people complain about the factory noise but we only noticed that once away from the trees enclosing the site). Be interested to see what happens with the refurb but we’re very likely to be returning.

So sad!

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
Lady Margaret's Park is a wonderful site just as it is. Adding camping and glamping will ensure that many folk go no where near it again. So sad.
