Why stay here ...

There are only 16 touring pitches on this well screened Somerset caravan site with distant views of the surrounding hills. Within fifteen minutes walk of Wellington, which is surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in Somerset with the Quantocks and Brendon Hills to the north and the Blackdown Hills to the South. The remainder of the site has been developed into an all year secure storage area. Only two miles from the M5, this is a useful stopping place when travelling to or from Devon and Cornwall, but the area is interesting in its own right, and is a good base for exploring in every direction, from Exmoor to the beautiful Dorset coast.

Please note: This site does not have a toilet block.

Absolutely superb and friendly Wardens

Cadeside Club Campsite
This is a good site for one night stop off down to the West Country. The site is a bit noisy but to offset this, there are some good dog walking areas both straight out of the site (dog walk) or just a 100 yards down the road into fields. But the Wardens are so helpful; friendly and smile all the time. A courteous wave or hello is the norm. They are relaxed and helpful. Thanks

Fab!

Cadeside Club Campsite
We absolutely loved this little campsite; landscaped beautifully and perfect for our overnight stop, not far from the motorway. Wellington is a lovely little town with lots of nice eateries and places for a drink. We didn’t mind not having toilet and shower facilities just for the one night, but for us to stay any longer here, we would prefer the addition of a small toilet/shower block. Wardens were lovely, really friendly. Would definitely use again as a night halt.

Ideal stopover

Cadeside Club Campsite
We have recently stayed at this site for one night to break up the monotony of traveling on the M5 from our holiday in Cornwall - this is a lovely small site - very pretty and peaceful (even though a road runs alongside). The walk in to Wellington is flat and not a long distance, however, you will need to be nippy in places as the route includes footpaths that come to an end due to a cycle path route. At those points, you need to cross the road to get on a footpath again. A couple of times, the crossovers were at blind(ish) bends - so be quick! Wellington has a Waitrose or Asda you can walk to and lovely little shops - including several charity shops to have a browse in. If you want to break up a return up north but still do some venturing out, this is a good site to stop off at. The site has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We can recommend. Enjoy!

Friendly well kept site

Cadeside Club Campsite
We previously stored ur caravan here and booked a nights stop on our way home from Suffolk. The pitches are nicely spaced out and the location is great for the M5. I was greeted by very friendly wardens, new since I last went there, and felt welcome. There are no toilet or shower facilities but for £17.50 it offered great value. We literally stayed a night, there was noise from the road but I think you have to appreciate that is the case when you are near a road. I slept very well and would certainly stay again for a few nights away from home. We walked down to the McDonalds/Costa Coffee that is a mile walk. You can walk in to Wellington which has loads of shops but we didn't get to do that with our one night. Chelston Motorhomes is also a short walk if you are looking at motorhomes or buying. This is a lovely friendly site and gets full marks overall.

Pity about the water pressure at the drinking water point

Cadeside Club Campsite
Great shame that the water pressure at the drinking water point is VERY LOW, the pressure at the chemical waste is twice the pressure of the drinking water point which is only a few metres away so presumably there is a problem with the tap or tap connection to the pipe which a plumber would correct in next to no time. As usual the wardens are friendly and polite.
