If you fancy a stroll on a rainy day, a full set of splendid stately homes can be found situated near to the caravan site, all rich with local history. An unusual but beautiful setting

Buxton Club Campsite
Just got back from a weeks stay here. A unique setting , so quiet and peaceful. Quite a lot of crows but they didn’t bother us. They seem to stay high on the quarry face. Quite a steep road into the site, through a field where sheep were grazing, but I must say they have good road sense. The facilities are excellent having been refurbished a while back. Site very clean. Our only grumble was the camp Wi-Fi . getting a mobile signal here is difficult, best when off camp. We thought joining the camp Wi-Fi would be the way to go, but unfortunately not. Couldn’t even get a decent signal to join and pay , we gave up after 5 attempts. We had a lovely stay here ,plenty to do in the area. Don’t know if we will return as 190 miles away! Plenty more sites to discover. I would thoroughly recommend this site

Tranquil site

Buxton Club Campsite
Just stayed for the first time at this site and we thought it was a wonderful site, walk into Buxton was a nice walk, route nicely laid out on your arrival literature. We only stayed for 2 nights as a stopover for our return South from Gretna. The staff, site and facilities are what you expect from the club. We stayed from Wed-Fri so also got to sample the Mobile catering that appeared on the Thursday night, having cycled the Monsal trail starting/finishing at Bakewell station. We tried the Curry night and both had Chicken Rogan Josh, one with chips one with rice, Onion Bhajis and Naan bread. Was a lovely meal and a good addition to the site on the Tues + Thurs. The site shop stocked a good variety of essentials and also got deliveries from the Bakewell Baker. The Stilton Scones are heavenly....Will definitely return but have loads to explore first

Brilliant Buxton

Buxton Club Campsite
Just spent Jubilee Weekend at Buxton site absolutely brilliant weekend even the weather for most of the time . Usual clean and tidy on site with helpful happy wardens . Site was full with turnovers every day but wardens still made time to provide Jubilee activity for the campers . Great walks from site for our 3 dogs who also love coming here . Love sitting watching the crows in the quarry walls ,very relaxing site . Only gripe PLEASE parents explain to your kids about road safety around site , we witnessed and had to find parents twice when kids fell off scooters and bikes one actually running into our caravan A frame . I have nothing againsst kids playing in fact think it is great the way they make friends whilst away , but someone is going to get injured at aome point .. Thanks for a great weekend Buxton see you soon .. Dave and Denise

Lovely site

Buxton Club Campsite
This was our first trip this year and we had a lovely time. Our stay was only two nights but the site was great. We enjoyed the large pitch, the unusual location, the adjoining countryside, the peace and quiet, the great facilities and the friendly, helpful wardens. It was good to be able to walk into Buxton through the forest and to discover the views from the country park adjacent to the site. It may be difficult to venture further afield if you are a motorhomer but we were happy to stay close by and discover the delights of Buxton. A lovely relaxing break.

Back Again!

Buxton Club Campsite
This is a great site in a most unusual location, at the base of a former quarry. Everything on the site is well maintained and the whole place is very welcoming. We were very pleased that it was so quiet and peaceful, which was just what we needed that weekend. Thank you Buxton staff.
