It is conveniently set opposite the beautiful Cotswold Wildlife Park, a popular family attraction in the area with rhinos, zebras and leopards - your children will be enchanted. The Brass Rubbing Centre, superb gardens and narrow gauge railway - all are must see attractions making for a fantastic day out. Discounted tickets can be purchased from the sites reception, during office hours, for Cotswold Wildlife Park located just across the road from the site.
Burford itself is a beautiful unspoilt Cotswold village, located conveniently near to the Burford Club Campsite. Populated with the warm, honey coloured stone buildings characteristic of the area, this small and sleepy town is a delight for families to discover. The caravan park is also close to the village of Bourton-on-the-Water with its Motor Museum, Model Railway and fine traditional pottery making.
Burford Golf Club is about a 5 minute drive from the site and offers a good challenge whatever your handicap. The Rose and Crown at Shilton just over the crossroads has excellent cask beer and serves top quality food. Bilbury and the wool town of Northleach, with its church and eccentric collection of mechanical music are also conveniently at hand during your stay on this wonderful site.
