Why stay here ...

As you top the rise on the approach road, you will see Rookesbury Park Club Campsite splendidly set in tranquil parkland and filled with hedges and trees in the valley, with the magnificent Forest of Bere at its edge. For restaurants, pubs and other conveniences, the caravan site puts you within easy reach of Fareham and the village of Wickham.

A good choice for those with children, part of the caravan park is reserved as a children's play and picnic area. As the Gateway to the South Downs, the site is ideally located for shoppers and city visitors to Portsmouth and Southampton, yet also perfectly placed to enjoy country walks and the peace and tranquillity of the Forest of Bere clearings. If you want to enjoy the outdoors while touring in Hampshire, you will be spoilt for choice because the entire area is ideal for walking, cycling and leisurely absorbing the peace and quiet of the former royal Forest of Bere. The area is abundant with wildlife and a variety of birdlife, with plenty of opportunities for keen photographers to take great nature shots. Should you want to explore further afield, Rookesbury Park Club Campsite is well placed for everything from a day trip to the Isle of Wight to a longer visit in Portsmouth to see the restored ships of old (the Mary Rose, the Victory, the Warrior) as well as sample the local seaside shopping treats. For more fascinating history, you could also visit the Victorian Fort Nelson, a Royal Armouries collection of artillery, displaying over 350 cannons. As the site is close to Portsmouth, it's also ideal for an overnight stay when catching a ferry - please call the site direct to book a ferry pitch.

A mobile fish and chip van visits this site, please ask the site staff for more details.

Lovely setting and well-maintained site

Rookesbury Park Club Campsite
Beautiful site in the heart of the Forest of Bere, within minutes of arrival we'd seen kingfishers, jays and pheasants! It was nice to be able to choose our own pitch, and nice to get to go on grass as we were putting up our awning. The takeaway van did lovely Tacos on Thursday night. Facilities were always clean, and the site well laid out and organised. We needed Calor gas and the shop had run out was our only hiccup having to drive into Portsmouth, but other than that enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Definitely would stay again if visiting Portsmouth or South Downs area.

Fabulous site

Rookesbury Park Club Campsite
This is our second visit to this site this year and Libby, Paul and their team of hard working assistants haven’t let us down. The team work tirelessly to keep the site clean and tidy, they are all so friendly too. We even enjoyed a little glass of Buck’s Fizz with a Paul to celebrate the Queens Jubilee. The shop which Paul and Libby stock themselves is great for essentials. We loved our fish and chip supper on Friday. We walked into Wickham this weekend for which the site office provides easy to follow instructions. The bbq pack we bought from the shop, supplied by a local butcher was fabulous. We can’t wait to come back in July. Thank you guys for another fab few days away. 👏👏👏👏

Great site as usual

Rookesbury Park Club Campsite
Our local site and never lets us down. Just had our second visit this year. Site in very good condition and tidy as ever. The present team obviously get on very well together and this shows in their pleasant attitude to all and sundry. In our opinion one of the best sites on the network. Thanks to all the team.

Room for improvement

Rookesbury Park Club Campsite
Lovely, typical CaMC site. Poor shop facilities given the location. Helpful staff but if you're going to allow a hot food van on site then make sure the quality is good as the burger van was not. Also the CAMC needs to provide dog free fields as this one does not. Other than that, not too shabby.

Our go-to site as we don’t tour

Rookesbury Park Club Campsite
Our caravan is stored on this site during the season & we stay on site as often as commitments allow. We live at the coast & treat this as our country retreat as for personal reasons we do not travel far but still enjoy our caravanning. You couldn’t ask for a better site, we always feel relaxed as soon as we drive through the woods to reception. There is always a very warm welcome from the very friendly, hard working team. Site managers Libby & Paul are always willing to help with any problem no matter what, magic & just what you need. The facilities are kept very clean & well maintained, the whole site is kept tidy with grass cut regularly. Our dog thoroughly enjoys his runs in the large dog field & also likes the dog stop areas, the extra one added this year is much appreciated. There is a gate into the forest of Bere (gate code from reception) which offers lovely walk especially on those days when it is too warm to walk dogs elsewhere. A very big thank you to all the warden team for all their hard work & help.
