Why stay here ...

Crossways Club Campsite is an imaginatively landscaped destination set in the midst of 35 acres of lush woodland - ideal when touring in Dorset. Pitching is available in open groves, all of which are linked by a scenic snaking road. This makes for easy access around the caravan site, from the charmingly named Iron Horse Meadows to Poachers Paradise. If you want to leave the car behind for an excursion or if you're simply a rail enthusiast, the railway is a five minute walk away.

There is a pleasant pub adjacent to Crossways Club Campsite, serving good food.  The caravan park is within convenient reach of a wealth of interesting attractions at the nearby town of Weymouth. Also close by is the harbour town of Poole, with its blue flag beaches and Lighthouse Arts Centre, and a short drive from the site brings you to the historic market town of Dorchester. From its glorious beach to the charming shops and wide selection of restaurants, there is something memorable to be had for everyone in the family.

Just perfect

Crossways Club Campsite
I love the way that there are lots of small areas to pitch in so that even when it’s busy you don’t feel cramped. Lots of wildlife around and so dark at night the stars are out in force. The compost toilets are fine and don’t smell. The railway station gives you plenty of opportunities to explore the area and beyond. The pub outside the entrance does reasonable meals. Showers hot and never had to wait. Just loved it here. The only possible downside, but it didn’t worry me, was the hooting of the train horns on the approach to the level crossing. There is limited access to a mobile signal on the internet so get your train times while you are off site.

Second year we have stayed here with Family. This year we were lucky to be together 4 caravan’s and of course Bunting this year and Parties. Great site and Staff. Every day we seen Deer roaming the site. Train Station short walk away. Pub short walk away Great Food friendly service. Frampton Arm’s. All the Site staff put on a Great afternoon on Saturday to Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Games and Prizes and Bucks Fizz for the Toast. Everyone who attended had a Great Afternoon.

Woodland setting

Crossways Club Campsite
A site we use often as a stop over and stay longer , set in woodland in small enclaves the site has some road noise and the train line but this is not excessive, the deer wander through the site , there is a co-op 15 minutes walk away ,and bus stops and train station close , generally a peaceful site

Deer every day

Crossways Club Campsite
This is a beautifully laid out site with pitches in woodland glades. The deer are frequent visitors adding a lovely feeling of peace despite being close to a quarry & quite a busy road. If you have transport it is a beautiful part of the country to explore, but I am biased as it is my home county. The showers & toilets are in separate facility blocks because of the composting loos. An unusual arrangement but the loos are spotless and add to the peace as there is no flushing!

Excellent site

Crossways Club Campsite
Stayed 10 nights in our camper van. Beautiful woodland setting. Very helpful and friendly staff. Toilets and showers are in separate blocks (of necessity) but were kept spotlessly clean. Composting loos worked fine and hold no terrors for us now. Exceptionally informative information 'shed'. Trains to Weymouth/Dorchester and Poole/Bournemouth leave from Moreton station, less than 10 minutes walk from the site. Train horns sound twice per hour from about 0615 until about 2130 and are very clearly audible! Lots of deer and birds on site. Our sincere thanks to the resident Club staff.
