Great little site

Riverside Touring Park
Just returned from site I must say it’s a little gem clean and well presented with excellent staff on the front desk. I would recommend not trying your luck a booking in early it a tight 300 yds from the road to the site gates is a little narrow if you manage to catch a late leaver. The village is only a short walk back up the lane through the railway station over the footbridge which by is straight in the the heart of the civilisation with a number of shops and fast food outlets we used the pizza and fish&chip takeaway it’s just about right to walk back and eat in your now establishment, another recommendation is the Sunday lunch at the oak hotel £18.50 for two courses(wife said best dinner she had for years) we booked it, it gets a little busy in the area on the weekend. The train station is a live station with a train around every 2 hours running to Llandudno £6.80 return worth a day out for a change of scenery and shopping. The Only downside with the area is the general food shop we a used it setting up a doing a big shop Asda,Tesco that sort of thing but most are 20 miles away in Bangor or Llandudno and the village shops do ramp the price up a little.

Nice Site, Great Location!

Riverside Touring Park
Had 3 nights here during the good weather in March. The touring site is co-located with a large static caravan site. The wardens were pleasant and helpful, and the toilets and showers were clean, warm and in line with other Morris Leisure sites. Regarding the facilities, they are right near the entrance of the site which is fine if you at that end, however if you are right at the far end of the site, its a good 5m walk to the facilities (not ideal if the urge takes you!) The location to Betws Y Coed is great, on exiting the site and crossing the Railway bridge you are right in the town, where there are a number of bars and restaurants that are pleasant and welcoming. We used the All Trails App and did a 10km walk to Swallow Falls and the 'Ugly House' Cafe, and also a 12Km walk to Capel Garmon and back.

Beautiful location

Riverside Touring Park
Stayed here amidst Storm Franklin and still enjoyed it. Very scenic location with hills as backdrop. Staff very helpful and friendly. Toilet/shower and laundry facilities spacious and clean. Betws-y-Coed is very quaint, ate at the fab Tapas bar, Olif - don’t miss this restaurant - food excellent and service fab! Would recommend Riverside, enjoyed stay despite the storm 😀

Fabulous site

Riverside Touring Park
We stayed here whilst in the area for Betws-y-Coed trail running race. It's a superb site and we enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back in Spring. Efficient check in and check out. The facilities were spotless and extremely well maintained. The site itself is in a good location, in a quiet spot but only a short walk in to the centre of the village. Endless walks from the site. Helpful staff who came round to check on everyone and update us all when there was a bad storm and subsequent power cuts, and the next morning all the storm debris was cleared up so swiftly. If I was being picky, the only down side is just one key for the facilities block per unit which is tricky if you need to go on whilst partner is already inside with the key! The only reason why I gave rating for 1 for families is that I don't have a family so can't really rate this - and it wouldn't let me post this without ticking something. Really looking forwards to returning to this top quality site.

Weekend stay first time

Riverside Touring Park
Have been waiting to come here for a while due to COVID and was hoping to be there during good weather. However unfortunately due to the lateness of the booking being November, fate was not kind to us. This aside we found the site to be excellent, on arrival the procedure was straightforward and the staff extremely helpful and polite. Facilities, showers, toilets etc were spotless. The proximity to the town through the station which is a two minute walk is brilliant. Once through the station with its own shops and eateries, you are 100 yards from the high Street with shops, hotels, restaurants etc. we bought some winter clothes from one of the several outlets and ate at the Stables restaurant which had both inside and outside (covered) tables, food was excellent. All in all a great stay despite the weather and will definitely be back, hopefully during the summer.
