The UK has plenty of stunning beaches to explore, and we have a good number of caravan, motorhome and campsites located within five miles of the coast, so you’re bound to find one near to your favourite beaches and coastal spots.

1. Dunnet Bay, Scotland
Nearest site: Dunnet Bay Club site
Our Dunnet Bay Campsite in the Scottish Highlands is one of our favourite caravan sites with sea views. Ideal for motorhomes and providing tent pitches too, the site offers golden sands to explore and excellent wildlife-spotting opportunities. Dunnet Head (the most northerly point of mainland Britain) is just a few minutes north; we recommend heading for the Lighthouse to experience spectacular sights alongside your trip to the beach.
Whether you’re camping or touring, the Scottish Highlands has a number of sites that will situate near the coastline, as well as a range of natural attractions.
2. Scarborough North Bay beach, North Yorkshire

About a 15-minute drive from North Bay Beach, our Scarborough West Ayton Campsite accommodates caravanners and motorhomers looking to be within a short distance of North Yorkshire’s coastline. While not on the beach itself, North Bay Beach is well worth a visit and is popular with families and a variety of water sports enthusiasts alike. Long and sandy, the north of the beach offers rock pools to explore at low tide.
While not primarily thought of for its beaches, North Yorkshire is actually a hidden gem when it comes to sunny sandscapes and breath-taking coastal scenes, while situating you close by to the York Moors National Park.
3. Sutton beach, Lincolnshire

Nearest site: Sutton-on-Sea Club site
Take your caravan or motorhome to our Sutton-on-Sea Club Campsite to be within driving distance of Sutton Beach, Lincolnshire. Based in the East Midlands, Lincolnshire is a good location for UK holidays in the summer months.
Head to the 2019 blue flag winning Sutton beach, perfect for long walks and swimming in the warmer months. This dog-friendly beach offers a range of facilities, including the Pleasure Gardens which include crazy golf, tennis courts and tea rooms. The colourful beach huts add a quintessentially British feel to the resort, as well as somewhere to relax in the sun when the weather's nice.
4. Slapton Sands, Devon
Nearest site: Start Bay Club site
Only a three quarter of a mile drive away from Slapton Sands, the Start Bay Club Campsite is a great base from which to explore Devon’s inimitable coastline. With so many beachside opportunities, you’ll find yourself well-acquainted with some of the South East’s best coastal escapes by the end your holiday.
Slapton Sands is perfect for a coastal break, especially if water sports are your thing. Surfing, windsurfing and canoeing are just a few of the activities on offer here, and lifeguards are on duty in the summer months for safety. There's also a Nature Reserve nearby and the coastline is a designated Area of Natural Beauty. Dogs are welcome all year.

5. Porthkidney beach, Cornwall

We have some great caravan, motorhome and campsites in Cornwall that will allow you to make the most of the county’s coastline. Short drives away, you’ll be well-situated to visit beaches as well as attractions further inland.
Backed by sand dunes, Porthkidney beach sits at the southern tip of St Ives Bay. The beach is around a mile long, and at low tide can stretch for around a mile to the sea. Coastal paths make this area great for walking, and at really low tide it is possible to walk around the point to Carbis Bay beach if you really want to discover what this area has to offer.
6. Brighton beach, East Sussex

Brighton is home to one of the South East's most vibrant beaches with plenty to see and do. The iconic Victorian pier offers classic beach nostalgia with arcade games and funfair rides, and there are also miles of promenade walks to enjoy. This pebbled paradise brings hordes of visitors on warm summer days, though there are quieter areas to sit and relax further away from the pier and other amusements.
Our Brighton Club Campsite is suitable for caravans, motorhomes and for those of you wanting to camp. The site itself is located two miles east of Brighton and only a short distance away from sea views, fun activities and the location’s famous pier.
7. Brean Sands, Somerset

Based in Southern England, Somerset, the Hurn Lane Club Campsite is great for touring families looking to situate themselves just a 15-minute walk away from one of the area’s best beaches. Motorhomes and caravans will be welcomed to serene settings, with plenty to see and do during your stay.
The 6-and-a-half mile long sandy Brean Sands beach stretches from Brean Down to Burnham-on-Sea. Whilst the sea here may not be the best for swimming, the beach itself has plenty to offer with sand dunes and an 1860s fort to discover. Brean Down sits at the end of the beach and offers stunning views of Quantock Hills and Exmoor.
8. Whitesands Bay, Wales

Just over a mile away from our St David's Lleithyr Meadow Club Campsite, Whitesands Bay is perfectly poised on Wales’ eastern coast to absorb the sunny weather in summer months – a great location for anyone visiting Wales for their next caravan and motorhome holiday.
Explore the wide expanse of fine white sand which stretches for three miles, providing toes-in-the-sand walks for anyone who visits Wales. Whitesands Bay is one of the best surfing beaches in the UK and very popular with those looking for activity holidays or adventure days out. On busy days there are canoeists, bodyboarders and keen surfers looking out for the perfect wave.
9. Great Yarmouth Beach, Norfolk

Staying at the Great Yarmouth Racecourse caravan and motorhome site will provide you access to a self-contained six-acre pleasure beach in Norfolk, East Anglia.
With 15 miles of sandy beach to explore, including sand dunes and seaside amusements, the Great Yarmouth coastline has plenty to offer and is one of Britain’s most popular seaside resorts. The beach is loosely split into three areas, with the south of Wellington pier ideal for families who want a quieter break, and the area north of Britannia pier more ideal for dog walkers and those who want to explore the sand dunes. The central part of the beach between the two piers is naturally the busiest with the largest selection of shops, cafes and amusements.
10. Cromer Beach, Norfolk

Visit the Seacroft Club Campsite for easy access to East Anglia’s beautiful coastline. Whether you’re camping, or travelling with the caravan or motorhome, this site offers a wonderful way to fill your break with sea views and sandy beaches.
The scenic Cromer beach is part of the Victorian seaside resort of Cromer, offering attractions such as the pier and theatre, a museum and stunning cliff views. The pier offers a vibrant calendar of events, though for a relaxed stay you can just take a walk along the top of Cromer overlooking the beach, or enjoy the promenade.
