Brilliant site!

I’ve just spent a few days here. Great wardens. The site has lovely clean facilities and a shop. Ludlow is within walking distance 30 to 40 mins depending on your speed.

Excellent site

We stayed here over new year and can highly recommend this site. It is small and therefore quiet and we loved the adults only area, perfect for a younger couple with no kids. The grounds and facilities were immaculate and we could not have wished for more. The staff were friendly and helpful and despite being there over a public holiday, they were still there when needed. The dog walk on site is also great, if a little muddy at this time of year. The only grumble I’d have is that the motorhome service point does not have a grate for a drain but a manhole type and I find these really difficult. The site itself is between two fairly busy roads and there was some road noise but at night the noise of the owls was far louder than the cars! Some reviewers mention that the site is reasonably open and it is but it’s well planted and only a matter of time before it develops. We drove into Ludlow and used the park and ride which worked well for us. The walk to town would have been around 30 mins each way and along a busy road with a narrow path. Overall this is an excellent site and one we’ll return to.

Good site

Have stayed here 3 times. Staff efficient but not the friendliest. Pitches are good although one we were allocated felt hemmed in. Great fish & chips on Fridays. Great dog walk on site, not many walks direct from site. Not sure re family facilities as didn’t need them!

Flat pitches and clean facilities

Stayed for 3 nights and although nearly full the site was quiet and plenty of space on flat ptiches. Handy to have a shop on site and showers/loos very clean and no restrictions on numbers -and still clean and not too busy. We cycled into Ludlow - a gradual climb most of the way so not too bad coming back -though quite a busy road and the footpath is very narrow if you are walking. Ludlow centre is nice and the castle is well worth a visit.

Brilliant All Year Round Location

We (my husband, myself and our dog)stayed here for 2 nights in October. On arrival it was very quick and easy, the staff were very friendly. Our first impressions of the site were very good, it looked very well kept and clean. The facilities are very clean, there were enough showers and toilets and even had under floor heating. The walk into Ludlow town takes just under 40 minutes. The site has a nice little dog walk. We will definitely be using this site again.

Just spent 3 nights at this site. This was our first visit to this site and found this to be a fantastic site. Whilst we are use to staying at club site we found this a step up in quality from club sites. With very spacious pitches and a very impressive toilet block. During our visit there was a fish and chip van on Friday and a pizza van and gin bar on the Saturday and Sunday. The dog walk was also fantastic with lovely views. We walked into Ludlow on both the Saturday and Sunday. The walk took about 35 minutes each way. We loved Ludlow with plenty of cafes, a market and the castle. We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at the Blue Boar., close to the castle Square. We will make a return visit.

Spotless site with a great welcome which felt very Covid safe

As I stated in my title, the site is spotless. The toilet/shower block are cleaned in the middle of each day and that is enough to keep everything squeeky clean. We spent four nights at the site and didn't once spot anything that could have been cleaner. The shop is well stocked with caravan/camping spares + more. The prices cannot compare with internet pricing but when you've forgotten to bring that thingamybob or wotsit the shop prices won't seem that bad. The one thing that I would like to change is the time of the toilet/shower block cleaning, checkout is at 12:00 and when you just want that one last wee for the road the toilets are still being cleaned. The disabled loo's remain open but you might have to queue. The Covid rules are strict enough to give a sense of safety but not to strict to be overbearing. This is our second 'Morris Leisure' site visit and we'll definitely be visiting again.

First Class

We normally prefer small rural 5cls but this is a first class affiliated commercial site owned by Morris Leisure and much better in our view than normal Club sites. Large well kept pitches, not overgrown by trees (that the Club seems so fond of), so not stuck in the gloom and plenty of sun for all. This made it easy of course for satellite signal although tried the terrestrial without booster and that was also ok for us. Very clean site, bins emptied regularly, grass always mown, very well stocked shop, firm but very polite staff managed COVID rules well. Fantastic enclosed huge dog walk that was heaven for our two working Springers although for some it was obviously not worth the uphill walk on the edge of the site as it was usually empty. I cannot comment on the facilities as we have not used a communal toilet block since we had young children and really no need if you have a serviced pitch and equipment on board. The only negative was the small gravel used on the hard standing that seemed to tread into the caravan. We will be back, time permitting.
