Gower obyssey

This story happened on: 06/02/2022

Lockdown over but abroad not a great option we opted for a 5 week tour of Shepton Mallet, Winchester, New Forest, Gower peninsula and Malvern hills last Sept/Oct in our 5 ton motorhome Columbus. New Forest was 30 deg when we were there but excellent cycling nonetheless. Winchester an interesting town to visit. 3 day show with entertainment at Shepton Mallet. Onto the Gower only camc site we stayed on was Gowerton, which was OK but a dull location without access to another vehicle. Have to recommend both north and south Gower for range of sites, wild walks, and stunning scenery. Not an area I have travelled in previously but well worth the braving of quite small roads. Of note particularly was how warm the sea was, allowing first foray into sup. Malvern hills combined with another 3 day show to top it off. What's not to like.
