Nice area, nice site

Stayed for 4 nights in June. Pitches were very well kept and flat ( well it was Norfolk!) Site facilities were typical club standard and were kept fresh and clean by the staff. Wifi and TV signal was good and waste and water amenities were always tidy. Good support from wardens in helping us find the best routes to places, and good ideas in the info hut. Walked into Ludham to the Kings Arms avoiding the main road. Pub ok, didn’t try food. Did another circular walk the following day to How Hill and St Brent’s Abbey. Lovely and peaceful along by the river. Took a bus into Great Yarmouth, wasn’t my favourite place tbh, looked a bit rundown especially in the town. Also took a bus to Wroxham, a small town but nice to wander around. Tried the Dog Inn on our last night, however the kitchen was closed for a week, so only had a couple of drinks there. We were spoilt with the weather, lovely warm, mostly sunny days which always makes a stay at a site look a little bit brighter. For me the pitches make this site, not too close together and we’ll looked after

A very relaxing couple of days

We spent 2 nights at this wonderful site and wish it could have been longer. The site was almost full but it didn’t feel crowded. There was a very relaxed vibe. The site staff were very friendly and the ablutions were very clean. We chose a grass pitch which was perfectly flat. We were a short distance from a lovely walk along the Broads. The Dog Inn (5 mins walk) was good (the fish and chips was huge), but it is also only a 30 min walk along lovely footpaths into Ludham, where there is a pub, shop and butchers. There is also a disused RAF airfield (RAF Ludham), which was home to Spitfire and Typhoon squadrons during WWII. There are some derelict buildings left, including the ATC tower, although this won’t be to everyone’s taste (I have a very patient wife!). This was the first site we’ve stayed at that we didn’t use the car once. It helped that the weather was gorgeous. Also perfect tv reception with our standard aerial, so we got to watch the Jubilee celebrations! I can highly recommend this site and we will definitely go back. On reflection, I think it’s the nicest site we’ve stayed at.

Quiet Week in Norfolk

Great site for accessing the Broads. The wardens were very friendly and welcoming. Usual high club standard facilities. The whole site was clean well kept. The ditches and wild strips dividing areas had moorhens and ducks. There are plenty of good walks in the area. At Ludham bridge we could put in our SUP and paddle along the river Ant. The boats were friendly and considerate passing. We had a lovely meal at The Dog pub, just up the road from the site. It was sad to see several places around the area closed or only open at weekends.

Great location and great walks

Spent two nights here and although the site was nearly full there were plenty of showers/toilets available. Standards very high and super clean site. The wardens were all very helpful and chatty. The location is superb for lots of great walks through fantastic countryside and river paths. Lovely to be back here after 45 years (last time in a boat) and the area has not changed at all. Great pub close to the site (The Dog) which our dogs loved as they even provided dog beds, it also had a great kids play area. Super site and location, we will certainly return here later this year.

Probably Last Visit

We have visited Norfolk Broads CMC site a few times. Nice but bog standard MCM facilities which are good. As with all MCM sites they are now becoming expensive, over £30 per night in May rising to £40 in August and availability remains a problem. The club say we save £13 a night being a member but I bet they get few non members visiting at £53 per night! I probably won't renew my membership this year and start using independent sites. Can't wait to return to France this June and pay a fraction of MCM prices for 5 star sites with pools, bars and restaurants.

Beautiful location and spotless site.

Absolutely loved this site, its in a great location if your into boating, walking, cycling. The site is spotless. Such friendly and helpful owners. Will defo be back as there was so much for us to do with regards to walks and kayaking etc.. We hired a boat for the day, went on fantastic walks with great scenery. Drove to Sandringham estate but was a bit disappointed by this because if it wasn't for having to have an audio guide i reckon we would have been done in 10 minutes, didnt look around the gardens as it was heavily raining but they just seemed to be a vast amount of grass anyway and not much else.....Great size level pitches. Drove to Great Yarmouth and Norwich town and cathedral. Visited Fairhaven woodland & water garden which was so gorgeous and peaceful to walk around. Also visited Happisburgh lighthouse which is where one of Ellie Goulding's music videos was shot. Went to Horsey Gap beach to see a vast amount of seals on the beach which was an amazing site to see as there was loads of them..

Great Location

Stayed for just 4 nights and thought the site was very nice. Friendly staff, very welcoming and keep it spotlessly clean. Usual standard of facilities we've come to expect from a club site, with some very nice extras. Location is spot on, great for exploring the Broads and Norfolk, Norwich and Yarmouth both in easy reach with plenty of villages and towns around to visit. Good walks from the site, and a decent pub just down the road (recommend the Tomahawk porkchop, make sure you're hungry though!), good range of beers and good quality straight forward food with generous portions! Plenty of wildlife (and farm life) around, we'll be back.

Exceptional site

Can not fault this site- excellent facilities, pitches in great condition, peaceful and facilities were spotless contrary to other reviews the bin lorry didn’t turn up at 6am it was past 8. Close to the river for some lovely walks. Lovely few days in the Norfolk Broads we will return.
