We are a family-run arable farm set in the beautiful village of Burnham Thorpe (Horatio's Nelson's Birthplace). This site is situated on a 3rd of an acre, sheltered grass area, immediately off Walsingham Road. Facilities on-site includes five 16 amp electric hook-ups, drinking water, chemical disposal point, free WiFi, toilets, showers and washing-up facilities.
In high season and bank holidays The Whitehall Kitchen will be open for breakfast baps, hot and cold drinks and during the summer holidays, evening take away food will be available some evenings.
Within a 5 mile radius you have:
- Burnham Market - for your retail shopping. Creake Abbey Farm Shop & Cafe. Holkham Hall.
- Holkham Beach, Wells-Next-The Sea, Burnham Overy Staithe, Brancaster Staithe. All these beaches are wonderful for walks and dog friendly as well.
- Local Co-Op supermarket is located at Wells-Next-The-Sea.
- Local ATM at Burnham Market & Wells-Next-The Sea (Post Office)

I loved staying here
Whitehall Farm
I really loved staying on this CL. We could choose our pitch and it was flat with plenty of space between us and the other vans. We used the facilities and they were first class, clean, tidy and plenty of hot water. I was told I could walk my dog around the edge of their fields and it made an excellent walk, with views of the beautiful horses. There were plenty of dog bins, which is a definite bonus as it encourages everyone to pick up. The fee of £22 is definitely worth it, due to the excellent shower and toilet facilities. These CLs do vary and not every CL has a view. I think complaining about the lack of a view is pretty petty, to be frank. The surrounding area is marvellous around here, with Brancaster beach, Holkham beach, Wells next the Sea, all close. I also loved Burnham Market with some great independent shops.

We have rated the site as we found it. easy access to all local places of interest without a doubt. the welcome was very friendly and very efficient. We did not stay longer than the time it took to pay in full........
The photo of the site has been taken from an angle that does not depict the site fairly. the site is set at the entrance to camp site and glamping site that are also run here, literally off the reception car park, we genuinely thought we were parked in a reception area and that once we had paid we would be directed to the CL. We feel it is very unfair to represent the CL as it is from the photo on this website as in reality the view you have from any position on the CL site is a stone wall, a fabricated barn or the reception area.
We can make no comment on facilities as we did not stay long enough to use them. We were told that a dog walk from site was available but this turned out to be up the road.
The reception was really friendly and pleasant but when we objected to being misled about the site the owner turned very unpleasant.
In our opinion there are plenty of far more attractive CLs in the area and we have been to this part Norfolk many times.
A really unfortunate experience. if you are going to pay for something it should be advertised fairly and honestly.
Great site
Whitehall Farm
Nelson's birthplace. We have stayed here a couple of times before and will be happy to come again. Situated close to Holkham Hall, it is very peaceful and the upgraded showers and toilets are very good and it's great to have good wifi. The grass is kept well shorn. The owners have clearly made a lot of effort to improve the facilities and we appreciate it. The Whitehall Box breakfast baps were excellent. The Lord Nelson pub in the village has reopened at long last and there are a number of good eateries nearby in Burnham Market, Wells-next-the-Sea and elsewhere and plenty of places selling good quality food - fish, meat, vegetables.

Peaceful. Beautiful location if you like countryside, the Norfolk coast, walking, and cycling. Superb facilities too - all very new. We enjoyed two nights here in our motor home. We walked to the coast, and cycled to Burnham Market. Didn't meet anyone officially when we arrived, but gave them a call, and they just said "pitch where you like". Very clean and well kept. No complaints. Fresh water so easy to get to, and toilet disposal also very handy. Geese and ducks coming in to land both evenings. Worth an idyllic short walk to Nelson's birth place. Useful information board too. Would recommend this site to anyone.

No complaints. This is a quite CL in glorious North Norfolk. The owners were themselves away on holiday but all our correspondence was dealt with by a family member who was holding the fort. Before our arrival we were told to pitch we we chose, and as it happened we were the last of 5 to get there. Grass pitches with plenty of space between each hook up. Single fresh water standpipe in the field but easy to park next to in order to fill the motorhome tank. Discreet chemical disposal point in the corner of the field. We enjoyed 3 nights here and would stay again.
