Bolton Abbey Club Campsite is one of the prettiest locations on the network - it is part of the Bolton Abbey estate and located in an open glade surrounded by woodland and the glorious Yorkshire Dales. The site attracts lots of wildlife with ducks, pheasants, other birds and squirrels often congregating around the site. Within the boundaries of the estate are some 75 miles of footpaths through moors, woods and farmlands, all easily accessible from this North Yorkshire caravan site. The woods include some lovely dog walks. The ruins of the 12th century Bolton Priory stand on a placid curve of the River Wharf and have been painted by Turner and Landseer as well as earning praise from Wordsworth.
Skipton is a mere 8.5 miles away from the Bolton Abbey Club Campsite and is an historic town with traditional cobbled streets and a picturesque canal to wander along. There is also a regular street market and well preserved medieval fortress, which are a must for visitors to the caravan park. Skipton also serves as the starting point for one of England's most beautiful train journeys - the Settle to Carlisle line. The nearby pretty village of Grassington offers stunning views, gorgeous stone buildings, shops and pubs. The Yorkshire Dales is home to a variety of tearooms and cafes, offering the perfect opportunity for refreshments after a busy day exploring. Dusty Bluebells is reported to serve delicious local produce and fine teas and coffees. The Red Lion at Burnsall and the Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey are great options for places to eat and drink that are not too far from the site. Both pubs are an easy 3 mile riverside walk away, in opposite directions.

On the final approach to the site, please switch off your Sat Nav and follow these recommended directions.
From East or West turn off the A59 at Bolton Bridge roundabout onto the B6160 signposted Bolton Abbey. In 1 mile go through Bolton Priory archway (restricted height 3.3 metres and width 2.8 metres), continue for 2 miles, turn right at Strid Wood car park and the site is straight ahead. Please note the waiting area is very restricted.

Just wow.
Bolton Abbey Estate Club Campsite
Visited May 2021 and again 2022. On both occasions the Wardens were Laurence and Yvonne, two incredibly hard working, helpful, knowledgeable and committed people. The Club in general and this site in particular are lucky to have them.
The other reviews already detail what a fabulous site this is and the various reasons why. In summary location is everything. Just wow.
Infact don't go, you'll hate it, and I'll have more chance of getting in next year...

Bolton Abbey Estate Club Campsite
had 2 nights here last weekend, very nice smaller site and very quiet and relaxing, lovely scenery within the woods , plenty of wildlife around the site too. wardens were very friendly and helpful with any queries we had, facilities spotless as per with the sites in the club.
only small negative was we arrived slightly before the 1pm check in time so pulled up outside the entrance, there is a small tea room adjacent to the camp site, the woman on their gate came straight across to us and said 'she cant have us blocking her entrance' to which i looked at the rear of our small caravan and pointed out we were clear of her car park entrance, she just repeated we cant block, and suggested we reverse all the way back out or go for a drive on the moors !! with a caravan in tow ! she was a bit abrupt about it, we just said we arent blocking anything at all and even moved a little further away to stop her moaning anymore, was uncalled for on her part and we were actually going to go in her shop to grab a coffee while we were waiting but she put her own block on that. so just be aware if your early watch out for her.

Bolton Abbey Estate Club Campsite
Lovely small site on several levels in light woods, with ducks, pheasants and lots of smaller birds all around. Just next to Strid café and start of walks along the Wharfe. Strid on the Wharfe right next to site, is a beautiful area for walking - to Barden Bridge over and back along to Aqueduct and to site. Amazing amounts of true native wild garlic, Ramsons, bluebells, wood anemones, and oyster catchers, ducklings, other waders, moorhens, and much more. Other way along Wharfe to Bolton Abbey equally lovely, plus great cycling if lumpy to Grassington.

This perfect gem of a site is one we will be returning to again & again.
Showcasing a sparkling spring in Wharfedale, the setting is perfect.
Sheltered, immaculate, set amongst bluebell woods.
The site is teeming with wildlife and birds that wander the site.
Across from the site is access to the Bolton Abbey estate. You can walk the river Wharfe whichever way you turn. A beautiful priory set on the rivers bend.
Pretty stone villages, a tearoom selling delicious food opposite the site entrance. The fruit scones are amazing!
The warden was very friendly and efficient and had even left us a voicemail re our arrival time. We were due at 1930 & he was asking how we were doing as there is no late arrival place.
We arrived at 1930 but it was nice to feel expected!
The site is immaculately kept. Showers and toilets usual good CMC site standard.
We absolutely loved this site.
It has a magical ,peaceful atmosphere.
Weve booked already for 2 visits next year.
We cant recommend it highly enough.
Fabulous for our cocker spaniel. Good dog walk on site too as well as miles of river walks!
What's not to enjoy!
If you love the yorkshire Dale's this is a perfect site.

Bolton Abbey Estate Club Campsite
Yes we've been here before, I book this site for when the local company "Fat Lad At The Back" have their cycling sportive. We've been coming here since 2017 for that event as the location is superb, facilities great and wardens top notch.We cycle past the site while on the Sportive and it goes down well with fellow site users. We always walk the Stridd to Bolton Abbey or out to Barden via the Wharfe....it's stunning.
Anyway... already booked for us 5 for next May's Sportive
