Raclet

Raclet

Raclet is one of the oldest French manufacturers of camping equipment.  The business was created in Paris in 1919 and manufactured its first leisure equipment in 1943 (tents, rucksacks and sleeping bags) to satisfy the demand for camping holidays which followed the popular front and paid holidays.

The company opened its factory in Mamers in north-west France in 1960. This factory is still active today both in the manufacture of trailer tents under the Raclet brand and in the subcontracting of numerous leisure products from various businesses in the sector.

Raclet have won five trailer tents at our Lightweight Leisure Trailer Competition, the first in 2010 with the Solena (Trailer Tents under £3,750).  The Raclet Quickstop SE won the Trailer Tents with Kitchen under £6,000 from 2015 – 2107.  In 2018 it was the turn of the Safari GL to win this category.
