Motorway tolls and vignettes

Before you set off touring overseas, it’s best to know when you’ll be expected to pay to use the local roads.

We’ve put together a handy guide to countries that you might expect to pay motorway tolls and vignettes. Motorways that are pay as you go can normally be paid for by cash or debit/credit cards, with the exception of the electronic tolls in Portugal.

Austria
