• Are always thinking of ways that we can improve the way you book your holidays and trips

We're really pleased to let you know that changes to the online booking experience were launched in 2019.

In the first half of 2019, we went live with the new booking experience for overseas sites and crossings. Soon, you’ll be able to book UK Club sites in a fresh, new way too.

"Overseas holiday insurance should start at the UK port"

So we...

• Removed the condition that meant cover had to start and end at your home address

We now offer you extended cover for vehicle breakdown which can take effect 48 hours before your departure date.

You will still be covered for cancellation from the point at which you buy Red Pennant and your holiday is protected against vehicle accident, fire and theft from two weeks prior to departure.

"I want to choose which membership products I'm sent and how"

• Have developed a brand new communications preference centre in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).

Until now, you have only been able to choose how we contact you (i.e via email or post) which means you may have been missing out on hearing about membership benefits, product news or savings from carefully selected partners.

To make our communications more personal and relevant to you, we’ve created a communications preference centre. It gives you more choice on what exactly you want to hear about from your Club, while at the same time giving you the choice to tell us what products and services you do not wish to hear about.

It is simple to update your preferences at any time, by either logging into My Profile or by clicking the ‘update preferences’ link on any of our email communications you get from us.

"I want to book further in advance"

So we...

• Have changed the way we put pitches on sale so you can book a year ahead all year round

In the past we only put UK Club site pitches on sale twice a year, which has resulted in a bit of a scramble – but now you’ll be able to book a year ahead all year round.

It’s a fairer system and it means that when you return from one of your great holidays with us, you’ll be able to book it again for the following year.

So we...

• Will be sending you regular emails to let you know which sites have available pitches

• Will be improving our late availability webpage

As well as helping you to plan ahead, we’re also improving how we make you aware of late availability for those spontaneous weekends away.

To let you know what’s free and when, we’ll send you a regular email showing you the late availability of up to three sites close to you, to make sure you don't miss those last-minute opportunities. 

There will also be a link to the full range of sites with late availability on our website - so if you fancy going further afield you’ll know where to go.

"I want to stay connected when on-site"

So we...

• Have enabled or improved Wi-Fi at 148 sites

• Are continually improving and upgrading services throughout 2018

We never really switch off when we go away, do we? Here at the Club we know how important having a decent Wi-Fi signal is, so we’ve invested £500,000 into our network - with a further £500,000 assigned in 2018.

Wi-Fi is now available at 148 of our Club sites, up from 112 in 2015, including 34 rural sites that didn’t have any access before. Plus, we’ve upgraded 68 copper wire connections to much zippier fibre optic cables. We’ll continue to work hard on improving our Wi-Fi throughout 2018 and beyond.
